I didn't notice that, but yes I believe you are correct...VINs with a T are the Guanajuato plant (in central-ish Mexico), VINs with M are the Baja California plant (near Tijuana). It makes sense that one built, a train ride from the Guanajuato plant to the Mexican coast (assuming Altamira or Veracruz), then a boat ride across the Gulf to Houston(?), then loaded on a train to wherever is going to take longer.

The last picture I posted wasnt for your truck. I just checked yours and it left San Diego by rail on 04/28, that is the last update.

I feel silly, I gave you the wrong VIN from the Toyota Dealership. I should have given you 3tmcz5an6nm497361

Pauly Toyota have been great. Specifically, Joe whole I have ben working with. In my initial contact with them, they were upfront about the delays and adamant they weren't doing any markups...so I put my deposit down. The information flowing from them to me unsolicited hasn't been the best, but every time I reach out, Joe has been quick to respond and get the information I ask for. So we'll see once I my truck arrives, but I'll give them 2 thumbs up so far.

Yes, they seem to have received quite a few allocations the last 4-6 weeks...their website went from a pair of stripped down SR models, to like 10-12 SR5, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road models.

So FWIW...in searching shipping times from BNSF's San Diego facility to Logistics Park Chicago, I found the following...

First, a map of BNSF railways automotive shipping: https://www.bnsf.com/bnsf-resources...aps-and-shipping-locations/automotive-map.pdf

Second, a transit estimator schedule. I'm not 100% sure this pertains to BNSF automotive shipping routes (it may just be standard shipping), but it's the closest thing I could find:

    https://www.bnsf.com/bnsf.was6/goaltp/cntrl

If you input the departure location and destination...so San Diego and Chicago, it says about 12 days.

Again, take this all with a grain of salt...I am not sure if it this transit schedule is for automotive shipping, but it's the best information I could find this morning.

I’m beginning to wonder if the info described in this article is having an impact….

    https://www.ktvq.com/news/montana-n...titutes-draconian-attendance-policy?_amp=true

In the last three months, more than 700 railroaders have walked off the job at BNSF because of it, according to the union.

Yes I live in Chicago but my dealership is St. Charles. They don't mark up but the sales person has been okay. Doesn't really give me any update unless I text her, which is like once a week.

Do you have an ETA on yours or do you at least know if it has arrived at Logistics Park?
