Correct, which I wasn't too stoked on as if I ever wanted to go back to the stock bumper I'd have to buy a completely now one. One of the positives is if you wanted to switch to another brand the but is universal. Rather the rear bumper is a complete bolt on no cutting!

After you mentioned that I went and looked and yes you can reach it through the hood behind the grill if need be. Would kind-of be a pain to do that every time but at least it means you can access it!

Thank you so much! Love how its coming together

So pretty much any of the bolt on armor bumpers require you to cut the plastic to make them fit?

Are there any issues with the leftover bits flopping around in the wind? Mine has been smacked at least once and the clips aren't holding but cutting into colored paint is a "gulp and go". That said I have bent/crushed/twisted plenty of sheet metal in the past, not sure why this is suddenly an aversion for me.

Need rock slider for an ACLB that double as steps for the short wife.
    Rear steel bumper bits.
    Headers.
    Pedal Commander.

After that I can think about the front end some more.

Oh did I mention I'm in the process of building a 1977 Ranchero?!?!?!?

    Yay me!

    Cheers,

    Doc

Hell yeah! So far so good, honestly my expectations were low from 4WP not even going to lie but I've been blown away. As per the rear I've heard its a huge pain to get the BSM's to fit so we'll see how that goes, I'd like to keep them if I can

If I could impose, could anyone check the thickness in a couple of spots of the steel used? (Front bumper)
I cant seem to locate that in the thread or specs.
I’ve been eyeballing this one pretty strongly lately.
It has nice contours, and cutouts for pods rather than a light bar. I also like that the bull bar passes through the top plate, and is welded inside as well. I haven't seen another that is comparable, in those respects, regardless of origin of manufacture.

@drktacoma how on earth did you get that winch mounted? Sometimes I despise engineer’s, having difficulty getting the bolts closest to the fairlead into the winch base. Any help would be appreciated.

Funny you say that actually since I thought the same thing on how heinously awful it is to try and get started. I got mine installed at 4WP since I was doing some promotional work and watched the tech struggle for a solid 30 minutes to even get one bolt through and started. My first idea would be to get someone with really small hands to try and work the bolt up and through. Probably the more realistic one is to get a magnet and fish the magnet through the hole to catch the bolt and then use your hand or a box end wrench on the inside of the cradle to hold it while placing the winch. If a magnet won't work maybe a coat hanger bent to grab the bolt and pull it through. But I agree, god awful engineering design it just takes lots of patience and steadiness you'll get it eventually!!

Blue painters tape will be your helping hand. I’ve installed a handful of winches on jeeps *ahem* and it does the trick of holding bolts.

@drktacoma the fogs and everything in the bumper are diode dynamics. Had to modify the brackets a bit so they sit flush in the bumper.

I've got a buddy who has the badlands and likes it, it's a good bang for your buck that's for sure. I've personally got the SMB X20 Gen 3 10K and love it so far. I'm impressed by it's build quality and features that it's got. One of my favorites is the remote and the ability to run it wired or wireless and the light that it has on it. But at the end of the day winches will do the same thing just preference!

Ordered the bumper and wings. Thanks to the pics from everyone here.

Now deciding on whether to add a winch or not. :annoyed:

If you're even considering bumper you gotta go winch!

I decided to pull the trigger on the rear bumper and swing outs.
Took about 3 weeks from order to arrival at shop.
Here are some of my thoughts.
The construction seems pretty good over all.
The install was fairly easy, the hardest part was adding the nut plate for the swingouts.
The bolts are greased and in a corner location that is near impossible to get to unless you have the hands of a 2 year old.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-14-56.jpg

Used some ratchet straps on the bed stiffeners as an added safety measure since I did this solo.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-17-16.jpg

Here are the extra supports that get installed with the addition of the swing outs.

    upload_2022-5-9_13-9-58.jpg

    What I dislike.
Grease everywhere grease, unless you clean it all off you end up grabbing a part that has it about a hundred times during the install.
All the damn bottle openers. 2 on the bumper and 1 on each of the swing outs.
Not really sure how usable the swing out bottle opener locations are unless you do not have the table installed.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-57-27.jpg

There is no plug for the original camera location. I will mock up a plate for this eventually, as I feel that
this is a vulnerability that can allow the tailgate to be unlocked.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-24-32.jpg

Not a fan of the camera location as it can be damaged easily of you have a mishap while hooking up a trailer. It also gives the guidance lines a weird upward angle (I will see if flipping the bracket helps with this but I think it will make it worse by pointing it down too much). The view is partially blocked by the ball mount I typically use. I will try with a non adjustable one and see how much it improves.
    upload_2022-5-9_13-4-32.jpg

    upload_2022-5-9_13-4-53.jpg

As previously stated there are no plugs for the light holes.

    Info I could not find.
The swing outs lock in 2 locations 90 and 180deg.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-23-18.jpg

    upload_2022-5-9_12-23-49.jpg

To give you an idea on the size of the stove that can fit.
Inside table dimensions are, width 21.75, and 17 in deep.
The inside support cable does cross over the the table a little decreasing the usable space by about a half inch to an inch if you don't pull the stove towards the front.
stove pushed all the way back cable is touching.

    upload_2022-5-9_12-33-37.jpg

The 4wp parts paint ready logo on the swing outs can be remove by the 2 10mm nuts holding it into place, but this opens up 2 more holes that do not have plugs.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-42-20.jpg
There is a laser cut logo by the license plate. easily covered with grip tape if you prefer.
    upload_2022-5-9_12-43-13.jpg

More laser cut logos on the swingouts hidden behind the table.
