Just keep in mind that deal on your sport is going to get folded right back into the Offroad. Unless the dealers in your area have an Offroad in stock configured the way you want, be prepared to wait a long time for the OR. I would not want to buy a car or truck right now.

TRD OR, I liked the idea of factory lockers. Haven't heard the best things about ARB air lockers.

I don't have to read any further...this one made me lol!

Op, what are your goals with the Tacoma?

Are you planning to Off-Road quite a bit or be mostly on the street?

The comments about the "skewp" are ridiculous but that's how some people feel.

EDIT: Another question: are you a stickler for manual transmission or is automatic transmission ok?

Now this is a great observation!

If you mean the 990 lbs that is the Total Combined Weight of Occupants + Cargo, that is something I just discovered the other day for my Sport.

The DCLB is 940 lbs in that respect which subtracting the Total Combined Weight to roughly 600 lbs tongue weight gives 50 more pounds to factor.

I'm commenting on all the replies that catch my eye regarding the skewp.

That last sentence is friggin' funny as all get-out!

    Thank you.

EDIT: I lived in England during the early 90s as a young Airman and the term, "Grab-A-Granny" was coined for a local pub/club house. These British women were in their 40s and just looking for nice Boy-Toy to take home.

Uh, no...I did not go home with a granny!

I'm guilty of buying the sport. It was a dealers lost leader and I got an amazing price on it. But man...I can't stand the hood scoop! It takes up visual clearance while driving.

    Yeah, I noticed that too.

So much hate coming from that side of the spectrum.

Doesn’t matter, We can all slap steel bumpers, snorkels and a RTT on either to crawl the mall

If you don't already know what you want in the Sport v. OR debate, may I suggest you look into the Honda Ridgeline*. It's the super practical-ist

*this post is in no way an endorsement of the Honda Ridgeline.

    LOLOL!

    Maybe he was trolling...who knows?

But that chick fight on previous page reminds me of the girl fights I saw growing up in SoCal/LA circa 1979-82.

El Sereno JHS was quite the school to learn before heading to Wilson HS on the hill. 1982-85.
