Part 90910-13003

Parts house shows 90910-12065 available. Is this part a valid replacement?

 

Update: 12065 isn't a compatible replacement; it lacks the idle adjustment screw at the top of the upper vacuum line.

 

might be easier for others to help if you were a little more detailed...

 

I'm simply updating, hoping to save other people the trouble of ordering, receiving and determining that it isn't a comparable replacement.

 

Case and point - you haven't even started what you're replacing

I listed the part number; don't know how to narrow it down much more than that.

It's an idle up device which directs air from the intake, bypasses the throttle body, directs it into the air plenum, which makes the engine idle up slightly when the a/c kicks on.

All the catalogs show a drawn diagram of 13003, without an actual picture, which makes it difficult to note the idle set screw in the uppermost positioned port. That set screw is missing from part 12065.

At any rate, if the warehouse tells you part 13003 has been superseded with part 12065 (which is a switch used for the evap can service line and/or vape return), don't believe them. They aren't interchangeable.

 

Lol so this is how my students who are English language learners feel when they see a word problem above their reading level without any pictures, diagrams, or context in which to place the problem! At least tell what engine you have so people who don't have a parts warehouse databank in their brain can tell what engine it's for or put it in your avatar as is the usual thing to do so people can quickly scan and see if your thread applies to their vehicle! Glad you got it sorted out though!
