I have a 1999 accord I bought for 1200$ from a friend 3 years ago. Decided to restore it.

    Converting interior to leather.
    Got wheels and coilovers.
    Hope to paint this year.
Bored and cant leave anything alone.

Looks good. Nice stance and I like the rim choice.

Dropping off at PDR next week, as well as having windows solar tinted, I like the fishbowl look but NC summers are brutal. Hopefully they can be tinted but still remain clear?

I know 3m makes tint that is 98% clear but blocks the UV and keeps the heat down.

That makes me miss my old 99. I had a white one. When I got rid of it, it had over 400k miles and still the OE clutch it was just starting to slip. Man I loved that car I did a bunch of tuning and work on it and was able to reliably get 35 mpg mixed driving and not heavy footing it.

I love it because I am the only person in town stancing a beige accord, and there are 10 of them at any given time at the pick n pull. Any clip or screw or trim piece I need is there. Thats where I got all my interior so far.0430221750_HDR.jpg

Thanks, unfortunately the rear seat bottom and front seats are high wear items so its hard to find any in decent shape.

Also these cars are usually owned by people who DGAF so that makes finding clean interior hard as well.

My buddies 19 sport. This place we're at is a little detail and retail shop my good friend had. His name was Justin Devenish, he was shot in the face while sleeping by his father about a month ago. Very sad, he was a pro skater and a really good friend. I was the last person to speak with him hours before his death, he came by my shop to return a tap and die I had let him borrow. He would be proud of my little accord as he had a boosted civic as well as a VIP style gs430 on bags. RIP Justin.

What a terrible way to go out :( I'm sorry for your loss Ivan, may he rest in peace.

Good job with that 6th gen; I always wanted a 5th gen wagon, haven't seen one in a minute.

Found a rare wood grain center bezel on ebay for 150$, got it yesterday and it had some delamination on very top that wasnt shown in the pics they listed. Asked for 75$ back and they approved! Thats why I love using ebay, they live off 5 star reviews so if your not happy with something they will always give you a partial refund to keep you happy.

Same situation with the tires I bought for this car a few months back, 2 of them were out of round and they gave me half my money back just to keep them and give a good review. Car still rides great!

Brand new molded carpet and headliner are going in next week when Im off for the week. Stay tuned...

99% of these cars are trashed now. Even at the pick n pull the interiors are disgusting.

Like most of the situations I get myself into im thinking what the hell am I doing with my life that im trying to restore a 1200$ car?

This sucks. 90° in southern NC heat, and its raining.
