My car is at the port so I still have probably 9-10 weeks or so at minimum. I'm trying to figure out wheels. German/European forums are....not as active, to say the least

Sparco Assetto Gara thoughts? (apparently only in bronze currently, but mine's dark green, bit like second shot, so could work)

I welded the axle perches to the tube inside and out and was like hmm maybe I should reweld it

I could be underestimating my ability to make TrailGear buddies but it more likely the axle tube rips before a weld breaks :notsure:

It's the Rio Grande Valley if you gave a shit you'd just loose your mind

I'm leaving this shit hole the moment I can

That or I'm building a shop with a lift tire changing machine, alignment rack and tire balancer

    Both seem like decent options

A good weld will easily be stronger than the metal it's welded on.

Heat management is a real thing though, and the metal affected by the heatzone of the weld can become brittle.

The axle is such a big sink there was no visible HAZ while there was on the perch

The axle tube itself is only like 1/8 while the perch is 1/4 so given the heat I put into it it seems more likely the housing will crack if I wheel it too hard,... Only one way to find out

It came to mind because I remembered someone cracking the tube near their factory perch during my ritual overthinking session

Speaking of jade. You guys think the 3rd gen runner looks better in jade or thundercloud metallic?

I love that toyota green (be it forest green or the jade). Only issue is that failing clear coat. Always seems to hit those green trucks HARD. Sucks.
