Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

I still save ziploc bags and foil if they don’t look dirty…. I eat a lot of sandwiches for lunch and pack them in ziploc. Usually get about 2 weeks out of one before I start to think it’s dirty

 

My current sandwich ziplock is at least a month in. lol

Ya know when my mom passed and we were cleaning out the house (she was 95---WW2 vet I might add), we all had a good chuckle over that "one drawer" in the kitchen that held the plastic bags. When zip-locks were invented.... you might as well have compared them to Bitcoin in her eyes.

Always makes me so happy to learn that so many of the WW2 folk were taking care of animals. The vet ratio between the 1940's and today had to be like 100:1. Our parents/grandparents knew how to take care of their pets.

 

Yep. That man knew how to pick his battles. He'd hardly ever raise his voice but when he did you knew that line in the sand was real.

 

My mom's dad was the same way. Jolliest, most jovial and caring man you ever met. Ukranian stalwart who spent his life working in steel mills in Pittsburgh.

If he ever raised his voice, you knew it was immediately time to straighten up.

My nestle pure life water bottle is about 2 months in. Our coffee machine at work has a boiling water dispenser that I use to dispense about 2 mouthfuls worth and then I shake it up really well to clean out any bacteria. Works like a charm. I think…

 

We used bread bags inside our summer boots in the winter as kids, cause my parents would be damned if they were gonna buy two growing boys waterproof boots every season lol.

My first snowboard was a road marker I cut down with a hacksaw and put a couple of loops of rope through it for my feet. Man, I miss the 90s

I can remember my toes freezing to death in the winter. With these ugly black rubber boots that went over our shoes.

Snowboards weren't invented yet, but one winter the old man brought home a big round metal coke sign he picked up from god only knows where, it had the outer edge curled up all the way around. But It made a hell of a down-hill saucer.
