Good to know. I've been torn between option 2 or 3. I will have a very similar setup with Softopper, Uptop Truss Rack, Hi-Lift and (RTT 6 months of the year). Only loaded for several camp trips. So option 2 seems like it may be the way for me. On stock leafs I'm hitting the bumps a lot.

Has anyone ever done the stage 2 on the driver's side only to correct for Taco lean? My truck sits with about 1/2" difference from drivers to passengers side.

21 gallons of gas weighs about 130lbs so I though it would make sense for the driver's side to have a higher weight capacity. Similar to running 6112's a notch higher on the drivers side.

I think you would over correct in the opposite direction and get reverse lean, not to mention it would ride like ass because the spring rate on each side would be significantly different. It would be like putting different shocks and coilovers on the front.

Here is a pic from the trip to give you a visual. Granted a lot of the heavier camping supplies are removed from the bed in this pic, but should give you a good idea.

No. I would not do that. They make axle shims for that.

With 3/4 tank, I had a 1/4in of lean up front and about 1/2in in the rear. Just tossing in the RXTs fixed some of it.

When I installed the 5100s up front, I went up to the 4th circlip on the left one, 3rd on the right. Now, I have a consistent 1/2in of Anti-Taco Lean without me inside. Perfect in my mind.

LeFreakyBone I know you said a page or two back you were running Fox 2.5's up front. What lift do you have them set for and what sort of rake, if any maybe it is level, do you have as pictured in this photo?

A little too stiff for me since I have no weight in the bed (rides great at option 1 with 100-200lbs in the bed though) - and provided more lift than I wanted.

The Fox 2.5s were installed as they came. I wanted to get them on and let the springs settle before I made any adjustments. I definitely have some rake. Now that it’s been a few months I’ll probably adjust the fronts to level it out a bit.

Found another pic that might show it better. This was on a solo trip, but loaded up with a bike, snowboard, and camping gear.

Oh wow, it appears to have a fair amount of rake. 2+ inches? Or is it the picture angle?

I think the picture angle exaggerates it a bit, but there is definitely a good amount of rake. I measured at the frame rail in the front and rear a while back and I think it was about a 3/4" difference.

Anybody having squeaking issues? I have about 1k miles on mine and when it’s not raining they are super loud. I can hear it in the cab. Sounds like it’s in the bushings.

Wanting to adjust my RXT leaf packs to stage 2 before install. Would the process be to clamp the pack down, remove nut from pack, slowly loosen clamp, replace third leaf down with the extra leaf included in the pack, re clamp leaf pack, re install nut.

That would be it. You'll need to toss the supplied pads on that swapped leaf.

I believe you need to grease between them upon install. That is what my guy said he would do. Haven’t had it down yet.

sis you do that or did your installer?

I read the Icons are one of the quieter moss out there for leafs which was one main reaso I got them.
