Lathe drive dogs and set up.
I had to take the piece turned with a shoulder and turn it more so the leg on drive dog caught chuck

 

Ive forgot to turn grill off and next time i go to grill something im out of propane

 

I have never heard of or seen one of these until you and @Slashaar were talking about them the other day. Thanks for sharing

 

This is why I have 4 propane tanks! Way more than I need but I've forgotten multiple times! Usually by the 4th tank I remember to throw them in the bed and pick some up on the way home!

 

I shook the tank before I lit it, felt like it had some in it. Oops.

 

Always need spares!

Prob couldnt read it...it had a owners manual. I dont think it was open though

 

Your welcome. There's not as much engagement as I'd like... shown in the picture, but just a total of .062 has to come off. I'm not going to cut it back farther again.

What is the determining factor that makes you decide to use the dogs on a job?

 

What is the purpose of a drive dog? Why would you use it?

It's early, and I am only partly caffeinated, but... WHY do you need a dog in that set-up? Isn't the work being driven by the chuck?

 

That looks like a toughie! Pot metal, I assume?
