Good Morning. Weather is teasing. Going from sunny and warm to freezing rain. But that is somewhat normal as our motto here is: “If you don’t like the weather…wait 15 minutes it will change” Stay Well…Stay Safe.

Good morning folks! First day back at work after 4 days off. Weather at the cabin was perfect all weekend. Cleared and groomed a nice two-track/road from my original property through the trees to the new property next door. Spent a lot of time clearing land with nothing but hand tools and a chainsaw. The adjoining 10acre parcel I bought last December had been select-cut a few years ago. The entire property is covered in logging rubble since they just left all the tangled tree tops scattered everywhere on the ground. I hope to have a little 1-2 acre meadow there when I'm finally done. I'm also building a bunch of giant woodpiles with all the scrap to create more critter habitat. I'm hoping to support some nice rabbit, turkey, and pheasant populations by this fall. Eventually I want to plant a small food plot for the deer as well.

Have the best day you can!

Thanks. I'm doing my best to stay hydrated, keep going between overheating/sweating then shaking from feeling cold. This shit sucks.. HR tells me that they won't pay me for my time off because I can't work from home. I need to file a short term disability claim and hope that they don't deny the claim. HR also told me that I need to return on Monday (16th) regardless if I am "cured" or not, I would just need to wear a mask. This doesn't sit well with me at all, I will start that fight on Friday. I hope that everyone else is doing well and staying healthy.

Best of luck to you, hopefully it’s not too bad.

I caught Covid last October. Everyone in the family got it, I suspect my daughter brought it home from school. My youngest had it the mildest, I was the worst. Several trips to the hospital, one of which I thought I was having another heart attack. The final time I was admitted with partially collapsed lungs. I thought that was it for me. Spent a week in the hospital tubed up, but was able to pull through. Lost 40 pounds and was out of work for the month of October all the way to Thanksgiving.
