All I got today. Cleaned out the last of the bins and boxes stashed in a big grey tote. They went into their new home, or trash. And vacuum sealed moving pads went into the grey tote. And I started a front cam replacement...

Gotta disagree about the taxes thing. Bikers pay absolutely zero taxes toward any roadway costs. The green paint is all on the gas tax, license, and registration fees. Good that your blood pressure is low, though! I had to stop my blood pressure meds because they made my legs and feet tingle at night so much I was losing sleep.

I'm sure you've seen the movie "The misfits". One of my all time favorite classics for many reasons. I've watched it almost as many times as I've watched "It's a wonderful life", and that one is like mandatory viewing every Holiday season.

I took advantage of a sale at one of our local nursery's on Suday. Plants are in the back of the Tacoma parked in the garage. Water them in the morning. This morning it was 49 degrees so I hope the trend is warming up. Will probably plant this weekend if the nights stay around 50 degrees.

Today is wash bed linen day and go to a Spa & Grill store to purchase two rubs and some Lumberjack pellets. My doc wants me to have an upper GI and the closest place to have it done, with this provider, is in Frederick, MD about an hour away. I hope to finish coordinating that today.

Might put some hanging planter hooks up on a post today.

We also have more than usual. Have to clean, replenish feeders more. The frenzy will slow down. They only eat like this after the long trip. They eat bugs like regular birds during their stay.. if they stay. Be careful, bird flu is rampant. Clean everything! It can transfer to humans.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Treat Little Big Red to an oil change today, along with a couple errands. That's all, other than finishing up the replacement front camera. More hot down here!

Just not right! "Replace our microwave light, please, dear ".
Smashed and exploded in my fingers. Tried everything to get the stuck base out. Has to remove the whole bottom panel to pull the socket

That white stuff is hot glue they put next to, and INSIDE the socket.

I garbage pic microwaves all the time to get the magnetron out of them for the strong magnets. Do you have any idea how many of those lights I have thrown away, lol. I don't think your supposed to change just the bulb but replace the whole assembly.

It's a ONE screw job, in real life. Not my life. And you know what? The replacement bulb is no good. Since everything else works, I'm not investing even Google time to "what if it"; the bulb is probably bad out of the box. And the whole thing isn't even a year old.

    20220510_101812.jpg

See that white glob above where a bulb would be? Some floor supervisor solution to complaints that bulbs would not be screwed in tight, causing customer complaints! I know those guys personally. The complaint won't come until much later, and the bosses think they solved the problem.

On a happier QC side for me, despite the delays, I got my new front cam mounted. It's more stylish! The old one was probably flaky because of the wiring issues I discovered a month ago, but I put this one in anyway.

    Evening all:
Got the valves adjusted on the "66", none way off but got it quieted down a bit, then took a ride and filled up the tank, $53 for a little shy of 10 gal., that won't last long!

These new microwaves are almost disposable. My over-the-stove one cost big money. At warranty+1 month later a relay powering the magnetron tube went out. It was next to impossible to get inside but I managed to replace it without scrambling my brain with stray microwaves. I would have tried one of those sprinkler pipe nipple extractors but then really screwed it up.

I'm late, but yes moms are special!!! I'd so love to have another conversation with my mom.... she's been gone since April 29, 1998 :(:(:(

Well, folks riding a bike is one more that's NOT in a vehicle fighting for space in the moving parking lot called roads or adding to the air pollution.

Middle grandson got a life lesson the other night... when the guys were out Saturday they saw a person missing an arm (thankfully the boys didn't say anything until they were out of earshot.) He was told to not use his left hand or arm (he's a south paw) and to see what kind of challenges he would have. We were using Bethany (I think that's her name - the surfer that lost 99% of her arm in a shark attack) as an example - about how hard things are when you lose a limb. He agreed it would be tough - he couldn't buckle his car seat belt.

    evening boys

Still riding my ebike everywhere, haven't filled the truck up in 3 weeks and I've only used almost 1/4 tank. Cost about .20 cents to charge the bike.
