Okay, I’ve found a thread on this topic but no definitive answer. This is a two-part question and to be fair I could really care less about the first question as aerodynamics vs preventing mud splashing are not to high on my priority list, although it would be nice to know Toyotas actual intention. As to the second question, let’s see who earns the “check out the big brain on Brad” award.

What is the purpose of the in-front front wheel mini flaps? (Just trimmed mine so image is a bit off.BB8BC063-E62F-4411-A6ED-F13A7DD7D182.jpg
    2.
What in the great beard of Zeus do these dials mean on the bottom of each, and….., why is the orientation of the dials different on each?!?

The mini flaps are for aero purposes. It also has the added benefit of controlling stone throws so you don't get cracked windshields as often or as bad. The "dials" are date codes or batch numbers.

What he said, except the stone protector thing (think which way the wheels turn)

    Aero and date codes.

I took mine off years ago and the truck hasn't caught fire yet :D

Date codes. That piece of plastic came out of the mold in September of 2021. (9,2,1)

Can’t speak to Part A but for Part B those imprints indicate data about the manufacturing…date, lot, crap like that.

A fair portion of rocks that hit your window are from your own vehicle. Not all. Rocks can be thrown from any point of the tires rotation minus where its in contact with the road.

Considering his truck is a 2013 I'm thinking that's probably not the correct interpretation of those numbers o_O

Wheel Spat is the official term i believe. For areo purposes as mentioned on the 2.5 gen face as the bumper didnt extend down on the sides as far.
