I'm looking too regear and locker a 2020 Sr with the 8 in rear end
Truck is running 32s now they will probably max out with a 35-in tire at some point.
The old school 8-in was a tough son of a gun, and when I bought the Sr I had convinced myself that I did not need to go 8.8 because the 8-in was so tough.
Was I correct? Or should I be looking for a donor axle at the junkyard to get 8.8.
Plan to run either an ARB or Eaton locker.

    Stock-ish
Personally I've blown 6 8" diffs, majority of them being in lightweight trucks with 35s-37s with dual cases and a 22re. I guess one was in a stock 3rd gen 4runner on 33s, which might have been the 8.2" diff?
But, leafs in the rear kinda take up a lot of the shock/bind with axle wrap which is nice, having an auto also helps as well. Doubted these trucks have 3x the hp as the old 8" rear end trucks.
