Haha, I wish! Just got done traveling, and won't be back in NoVA for a visit until this fall. You all can pour one out for me...I'm just jealous because no one wants to just go and grab a beer around here.

I'm thinking of doing a day trip this Sunday to FPK (Saturday is the wife's bday). Are you working Sundays too on the hail repair work you have?

 

I would join, but I really need to put the Jeep back together. Hard to wheel without seats. And carpet. And maybe a rear bumper.

 

Done! I'll set up cots in my garage... And we'll do a mod-day to put all my parts onto the new Taco (if it ever gets here).

Pretty sure some of guys that run out there for OCONUS work have stickers from there, amongst all the other HI and Guam and PR breweries and "fun" locals type spots...now to see if I captured one of these on their equipment containers...

Anyone in the Nova area weld galvanized steel? I have a boat trailer mod that I need help with. It’s not a Tacoma, but I pull it w/ my Tacoma. Appreciate any advice or assistance.

 

I thought you had to grind it down, since its a chemical process to make it galvanized?

Yeah galvanized is just a coating process, pretty sure it’s zinc. Welding on it creates toxic fumes but if ground down beforehand and wear a respirator it’s ok. But any part where the galvanization is ground away will need some paint.

Yuck, I hadn't even looked at the weather. I imagine the stream crossings could be interesting with all the rain in the forecast.
