Absolutely, lol. When our dealership offered me more money for a vehicle I owned for about a year, it was time to get another taco.

Dammm, I had no idea. Not sure if it was just timing on my end but back in Feb at the dealership, there were several "in-transit" tacos coming in and today, none. Only one used taco on their website. Of course we also had to pre-contract a month before it arrived cuz that's the only way to guarantee you getting one. But I'm sure that's what you all are doing too.

All I can say is for me, definitely worth the wait but then again, that one month wait seemed like forever, lol. Hopefully you all will get your Lunar Rock tacos soon!

 

I'm not OP but after 4 months of waiting in FL i finally found one in GA and flew up to buy it. I wanted advanced tech and LED lights, didn't get either but I was tired of waiting. When I was checking the excel sheet here on TW CA was getting TONS of trucks and FL was getting none. worst part is I lived in CA 34 of the 39 years of my life but nooooooo can't live there when it's new truck time.

 

I hope you have eggs in other baskets at different dealers. Also going across state lines increases your chances a lot more as the allocations that Toyota supplies to dealers is like the lottery - there is no rhyme or reason to their system and the builds (Except double cab, short bed, automatic as those are the big sellers).

 

Great looking taco! I should be getting my TRD Sport sometime in September. What are the specs on the wheels? Offset? What size tires you go with? Any chance we can get a front pic to see how far the wheels poke out? Thanks and congrats!

 

That's awesome, congrats too on your purchase. Black Rhino "Stadium" Matte Black wheels are 17x9s, offset I was told back in Feb is 0 but have to verify with shop again. I only went up to 265/70/17 (Falken Wildpeaks A/T tires) from stock size of 265/65/17 because from several threads here, I was told that was the largest size you can put without front leveling and/or lift kits. Truck came with mud flaps all around but removed those since the front tires with new set up when fully turned was too close to the tires for me. Also took off the full length textured factory running boards cuz I just don't care for them, lol. I've only put around 760 miles on the taco but I haven't had any rubbing issues whatsoever on stock height & suspension. Some photos below, hope that helps!

Went off-roading for the first time. This truck is amazing, maxxis razr at in oem size.

I used to have a rebuilt 87 long bed 4x4. It was the best ever. Then it got stolen and stripped to the bones....

 

Thank you it’s my money pit that I can’t ever get rid of! That’s a bummer, Ive always been nervous that mine will get stolen, but no tweaker will be able to figure out the transfer case and how to start a cold 22r haha

 

Went up into the local hills to try out the 4wd after our last big storm. The green really pops in the snow!

 

Upgraded wheels and tires today! Very psyched to get out on the dirt roads soon.

 

We still have Mastodons up north here,They usually come out the first week of May.

 

they seem to live 1/2 way between the equator and the North Pole.

 

This is kind of late but someone literally hit me in the exact same spot a couple months back. If they didn't damage the sensor then I think you just need to replace the bumper cap like I did. I got mine from here and they paint matched perfectly.

got my 100XR put on last week. Only took about 25ish days to get it in. Got all the bells and whistles. Wanting to change out these tail lights next, some bed stiffeners and then hopefully some wheels/tires. Ready for these summer adventures!

 

Just placed an order last week, 2022 Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD, LONG BED, LUNAR ROCK, with everything, no leather or moonroof 2 things I didn't want. Been looking and looking, dealer ordered for their selling inventory but they had my request on file....production date June 6, delivery date mid July

 

Jeez. I ordered a Lunar Rock TRD Off Road Short Bed Double Cab January 17th. Still waiting.
