I just like messing with the air locker people online and in the woods when it doesn't work. I was doing the same thing to the 5 out of the 6 guys with broken harrops on my last trip and the people with SX2's that weren't climbing shit. In the end I don't care, just like messing around!!

@Yota X in all seriousness though ARBs and flawless operation in the woods do not go hand in hand. LOL

I think for stuff out west they are prob nice. I am kinda worried about tree limbs. But, whatever. If I don’t like it, I’ll take out, throw a mech one in and talk shit on here. Lol. I will def be keeping my carrier just in case.

I just bought the mech locker. If I’m running air tanks to fill I don’t need a compressor hoggin space or the hours of wiring everything anyway. I hear the positives of air but it’s harsh wheeling here and I need simplicity. $350 more towards the atlas also.

Got you! Well, to be fair you have good points LOL.

That will be money well spent. I'm so glad I went with an atlas, I have the regular 2 speed - which is all I could afford at the time :D - with 5.0 gears. It works great.

If you are into the super mega double-low stuff, then their 4speed version is really an amazing unit. Plus advance adapters has solid customer service and support.

Can anyone tell me which way the pitman arms favors from center? Driver or pass?

If I put it one tooth to pass side it’s at 46 degrees from center and 40 driver. If I move it one tooth the numbers switch to the exact opposite side.

That's the first thing I noticed! Holy crap, those are huge spacers.

Judging by those wheels/tires and the parallel link setup up front, it seems like it was built that way for looks.

But he could have achieved those looks without having to do a SAS!

I can’t afford a 4sp either. Getting a 3.8 2 spd. I’m gonna cut a big hole in floor so I can shift by hand till I can save enough money for the cable shifter.

Haha, right! I’ve been playing w cars for 25 years and you see it all. As more of a purest, i would say, I prefer to see young talented people put said talents towards ideas that are progressively pure and not sheepish. If that made sense.

I had a 1" body lift installed prior to the Atlas, and I went with the cable shifter "upgrade" (some people actually prefer the standard shifter as it allegedly shifts better than cables). But cable shifters do give you more options with the installation.

Little did I know that the 1" body lift would save the day big time. It provided enough clearance for the Atlas and cable shifters. There was no need to cut the cab floor at all. Also, the body lift allowed for the Atlas to be clocked slightly, enough so that it does not stick below the frame rails.

Looking at the truck from the side, you cannot see the transfer case at all. People often times don't believe that I did not have to cut the floor to fit the Atlas. But it was all thanks to the body lift.

I would certainly recommend a small body lift! (unless you are totally ok with cutting the floor)

Anyone have any insight on referencing your lower/upper links to the instant center in the rear?
