Did you actually drive an 18-wheeler for a living at some point?

Yes I know how to slip/float gears. Pretty easy really. Downshifts you throttle up the rpm and up shifting drop rpm and slip into the next gear. Only time I ever touched the clutch was from dead stop/stopping.

Some are. Never really used them much. Most of our rigs were Peterbuilt with 500/550 CAT engines with 13/18 Eaton Fuller transmissions.

I hit 150K while driving into work today; I hit 100K in July 2019, so that means it took less than three years to put an addition 50K miles on my truck!

My frame was replaced back in November 2021, with just shy of 140K miles on the clock, so my truck is basically brand new new underneath.

My truck is as mechanically sound as you'd expect a well-maintained Tacoma to be, but it still has an intermittent misfire on startup from time to time; I've already had one injector replaced because it was a throwing a code, so next Monday I'm getting the remaining three replaced. There is a tiny a bit of oil seepage from the cam cover gasket, so I'm getting that replaced as well. Finally, a faulty brake switch has been identified as the likely cause of my cruise control working intermittently.

My truck survived a glancing blow from a drunk old man in a Mercedes back in October 2015, and a direct hit from a metal pipe at a scrapyard this past February,

Despite the hiccups mentioned above, it still runs great!

    Here's to another 150K!

On your phone like everyone else? I use spotify. The songs download when I'm on WiFi and I can play them anytime then.

I like a direct connection to the radio via USB; My phone does that too, but I feel like the sound quality isn't as good.

I've always kept my iPod and my iPhone separate so listening to music doesn't interfere with talking to people or using the GPS. One of my Aspie quirks is that I just like using an iPod; Would love to have a word with the moron at Apple who thinks this is a good idea.
