So I wanted to get some icon leafs or Dakarbut they are just out of my price range and I don't plan on keeping this truck forever but it needs an upgrade. I have a 2800lb dry camper I pull and a fiberglass topper on my truck bed. My question is what are some budget friendly leaf packs available out there. I've read general was decent, I keep seeing the husky springs on rock auto but can't find anything about them (assuming not good) don't care for a lift. An inch or so in the back would be fine. Just trying to keep the price low but also want something that can actually support the weight. I use a weight distribution hitch when towing if that makes a difference. Any help would be nice. Don't want to mess with airbags

All Pros are priced pretty well. The expedition leafs handle 500lbs constant weight and 3" lift. But empty are 4" lift. So to fully flex them out wheeling I needed extended shocks, raised bump stops and extended brake lines.

Yeah that's way more than I'm looking for. Don't want much of lift. I have 5100s I'm going to be putting on with it.

I was going to get iron. They were 609 for a pair. Then they had a 25% off deal but jacked the original price to $700 so that kinda rubbed me wrong.

I hate to say it, but I can’t recommend General Springs leaf packs. I have a set of the heavy duty Tacoma leaf packs and within 18 months and about 20,000 mi the front rubber bushing sleeves completely let go from the rubber. They also developed a terrible crunch/pop when articulating even a little bit. I purchased some delrin leaf liners that I am going to try to isolate the leaves and stop the noise, but haven’t gotten to it yet.

I was in the same boat as you, hoping for a low cost alternative. I will probably go with Dobinsons if I can’t get them quieted down.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to attempt using some helper springs and see if that makes a difference. Got some fairly cheap. If that doesn't work properly just going to bite the bullet and go with a decent set.

I have some RXT's for sale.. but they'd be pricey to ship from Phoenix.

I was contemplating going that route instead. Not trying to lift though
