I'm new here and I'm sorry that this has probably already been addressed but I was not able to reply in a post because I have a new account.
I'm using Auxbeam H11 F-16 in halogen housing for low beams and fog lights. I just noticed one of my low beams have turned yellow. Why? Did I get a bad bulb? Did I possibly install it wrong? I want to stay with LEDs, and since I need to replace it should I go with something else?

    Oh look, another mod....
If it turns yellow, that's a sign of jaundice.

Sounds like the LED is deteriorating.

Diode Dynamics makes some high quality stuff, might want to check them out as a replacement

Yes the LED has failed. The driver is burned out

LED are not an improvement in these headlamps assemblies and do not improve light output. They can not replicate the focal point of the incandescent lamp.

Here is an excellent read... https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

LED in Incandescent housings are illegal in many states and provinces because of this...

If you go through the link speedfreak shared you’ll find instructions for the h9 conversion. That would be a tangible improvement over any led bulb you could put in your projector in every way but color. Some people prefer the cooler hues
The H9s cost waaaaay less too

Agreed. I just installed the nighthawk platinum H11. 20 something bucks, and actually designed for the housing. Try it, its cheap.

I've attempted to read the article prior to posting, honestly its a little over my head. I was going after color, cool hue... Which was why I opted for LED.

Unfortunately, this colour and hue greatly reduces light output and causes glare to oncoming traffic. If you want colour and hue then I would suggest factory LED housings. These are atleast DOT legal and do not compromise safety.

Not sure why so many people prioritize the color of light over improved visibility. It's like some of you spend more time looking at your truck as opposed to driving it. That's just weird.

I get what you’re saying about that thread. There’s A LOT of info in there to sift through. It wasn’t until I replaced the crappy leds that came in my (used) truck with expensive “good” leds and drove through the boonies in the pitch dark, that I realized how garbage they all are.
Using the correct light source for the housing you have will ALWAYS result in better output.
The nighthawks that rock lobster mentioned are pretty cool in hue.
I used to use them in my first gen. Definitely not blue, but not yellow either.
