Getting ready to sell the whole rear end/suspension out of my truck. Perfect for mid travel or a +2” long travel. Will come with 2.5x12” King shocks, archive shackle flip, archive sua mount for air bumps, deaver 539/540 sua leaf springs, archive shock mounts, full axle with arb locker, rebuilt brakes with about 15k miles on them.

 

Willing to separate or whole kit only?

 

whole setup at this time, since the axle housing is setup for these shocks and what not.

 

Anyone got a discount code for MOOG ?

Pretty sure your cheapest bet is just new stock lower control arms with new cam bolts. That’s what I just did on the 4runner.

 

I'm looking for recommendations for ball joints not new a-arms

 

Yeah me personally am just going to buy cheap complete Lcas, instead of messing/cussing doing the lower ball joints and or cam bushings. Not too much more for a complete setup.

 

There might be some low(er) mileage stock ones available locally @Bertw192 @msgs350

 

Like Kevin and others have said I would just replace the complete lower A arms, I went with Moog a year or so ago and it was so much easier and quicker than messing with the lower ball joints, and then you get new bushings at the same time. I did my upper balljoints with a press tool the same day I swapped the lowers and that took atleast twice as long as swapping the lower arms.

I did Moog ball joints in the stock LCA. It took a massive effort to press out the stock ball joints on the truck. I bent the shit outa one of those C-clamp style ball joint removers before I got them both off. I wouldn't try doing it with the arms on the vehicle again. The control arm bushings were extremely easy to change otherwise. I later did Superpro bushings and that job was quick and painless. Just a little stinky cuz you have to heat the bushings to eject them.

 

I concur. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze and by squeeze I mean veins popping out of your head. I had a miserable time. I burned the shit out of a finger and when I heated up one side the ball joint exploded and shot across the shop.

 

Any interest in doing a wheeling trip this Saturday? Open to go pretty much wherever preferably not dealing with a bunch of spring snow though. If not may just consider a Tahuya main loop run to check it out for the first time. If I remember correctly that trail isn’t too bad to do by yourself if you stick to the loop?
