@greengen1 So I crawled under to get some pics in the light today to see what I'm working with. Actually thanks to the boxed style of Mobs Sliders the frame looks great it's the metal for the Sliders that has gone to shit. Toyota sprayed their waxy jizz up the front of my frame so hopefully that doesn't mess with the taking off.

I hate MD and all their Salty decisions lmao. PA is worse though with a stop sign at the bottom of every hill intersection with no plow no salt lmao. I remember right after installing the new stage III clutch that there was a big rig sliding down the hill that my truck just crawled right up around all the cars sliding off the side of the road. I can see why MD drowns the roads but it sure does a number on our vehicles :deadhorse:

I know there are plenty of forums on this question, but i trust and value all of your opinions more.

Need to get new tires. Have ridge grapplers which i like except for in wet conditions. Looking for opinions on what you all have and if you have had ridge grapplers compared to other types. I know Rob has ran a few types of tires

Im considering staying ridge grapplers, wild peak at3w or duratracs.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

I am also in the market for tires as well, but im looking to go larger. I have Duratracs now and loved them. They have performed great off road, on road well and very good when its wet out. There is a tad bit of road noise but nothing to loud or crazy. I have 45,000 miles on them and they still have lots of life. Im running 265/65/17 now and Im looking to move up to something with a little more meat 285/70/17. I would be very grateful for any input as well. Thanks

I've had great service from the Hankook Dynapro AT-M's that I have on my 4R. They are quiet, great traction on dry and wet roads, they do great in snow/ice ( they have the 3 peak mountain snowflake rating for severe winter weather ) they balanced well and stayed balanced. They survived the trip to Colorado last year.

Well I guess ridge grapplers are out for me then.. I mean I really love the duratracs. Thinking about sticking with them but I want something with a little bit more meat on them . The only downside about those in my opinion and experience is you have to crisscross them when rotating or they ware weird.

I put an offer on a house. Not an ideal house, but a solid-looking place to move into, mostly enjoy and start the new life.

Are you guys using under-spray to prevent/mitigate the salty roads? Does it work?

I really enjoyed the duratracs on my old Wrangler. In my mind, they were the best compromise; did okay in snow (siping rules), did shitty on ice (like all non-winter tires do), did pretty darn good in mud. As far as tire size, i'm pretty sold on skinnies - but you'd need a 16" wheel. 255/85/16 for the win :D

    Good luck! Still in Aberdeen?

I’ve coated mine for the past 2 years and think it’s working… I will say, spraying between the leaves also might be helping them from squeaking.
They use a lot of salt and brine here. It takes 2-2.5 spray cans of Woolwax to do the underside of my truck.
Last fall a few of us got together, including @Backdoc @beorn the fat myself and @BustinJass17 a good time was had by all!
