Looks too big to be a Tacoma, idk :pccoffee:

plus, the rear door is a half size like a Tundra, that would be a weird change if they went that route with the Tacoma

it looks like a 2022 Tundra impregnated a 2022 Ridgeline, and out came a 4gen Tacoma....

New Tundra is ugly as balls and if they make the Tacoma looking anything like it, I'll start buying used trucks later in life.

Is that even a Toyota? the exhaust comes out on the driver's side, and as far as I know all Tacoma's have it coming out on the passenger side. Seems like it'd be strange change of design.

The new Tundra does and the new 2024 Tacoma will share the same platform

I hate the flat nose of the new tundra. If that carries over to the new tacoma, I'll pass

Cool video. Looks like the new Tacoma is already in limited production. Whether or not the official model year will be '23 or 24', it must be getting close to an official reveal. I bet they keep the Tacoma aesthetic. We can only hope they dont plaster the ugly whale shark mouth on the Tundra on the next Tacoma. tundra grille.jpg whale shark.jpg

Well now I can’t un-see that ever. Thanks for ruining the new Tundra for me haha. It’s right up there with my wife ruining DCSB Tacomas for me by mentioning the cab is as large as the bed (no offense DCSB owners, I love all Tacomas!).

Doesn’t look good but prob they are using Tundra panels. I expect like the Tundra we will see a Tacoma with a low stance appearance to reduce wind drag and improve EPA numbers. And this body seems to indicate that.

Time is ripe for a 4th gen forum since things are heating up.

It will probably be made of paper mache.

Toyota announced today they are having trouble sourcing raw materials, and materials costs are going up.

    Also

    https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/corporate/37301760.html

If Toyota is having to cut production in their home market. Things in NA have to be worse for them.

I wouldn't expect any more Tacoma production this year. Not if Toyota wants to build and move Tundras.

The current situation is definitely a cluster. But only Toyota knows if part shortages for a 2022 model will impact their 2024 line-up and future plans that seem to have been in the works for many years. But it does look like Toyota is ready to move on. If those spy shots are legit, the new Taco is coming.
