It's funny how irl the 2.5x14 body is when shocks start to look really massive but in pictures they still look kinda small

I skimmed it. I’ve been onboard with Archive since the early days, and Eric’s system of hangers and shock relocation is solid. It solves a lot of problems that plague this platform from the factory. And if perfecting the stock system is your goal, there’s no better option than the AG system. However, if you’re seeking higher speed performance, the system has to be changed because the stock SOA simply does not cut it on these trucks. No matter how much tuning you do, physics will get the better of 5” of bump travel. Anyone who has changed suspension systems will tell you, if you set up an SUA or even a link system poorly, it will perform poorly. Just like the SOA system is setup poorly from Toyota.

desert trails and high speed for the win!! I want the same because I don’t crawl, but I think I’m going to build a different (2WD) Tacoma in the future for this need

Haha I'm sure you do! We've cut down a bunch of trees recently to expand the trails there.

Are most of you running 8in or 10in stroke 2.5 ADS RR rears with the OME dakars or deavers?

Hey y’all, appears my UCA is rubbing on the remote reservoir line at full droop. Any advice? Here’s some pics

Rotate and see if you can adjust your resi to move the hose.

Loosen the reservoir clamps, push the hose until it's well clear of the UCA. While holding the hose clear of the UCA, retighten the reservoir clamps.

Edit: if that doesn't work, you may need to loosen the 90° fitting on the shock body (only slightly to avoid leaks) and rotate the 90° fitting so it is more vertical, and not directing the hose towards the UCA.

What are the longest shocks you can run on a 3rd gen with the HD OME Leafs. I am thinking about going witht eh smooth bodies 2.5 with 10" stroke

ADS makes OEM replacement shocks. They’re good for 1-2” of lift in the stock mounting location. Can’t go much bigger without sacrificing bump travel.

I believe you can go up to 14" travel but you'll need a shock relocate tower. I bought ADS 13" with the Archive tower. The top of the tower is actually bolted to the top of the wheel well, in addition to being welded to the frame.

Yeah 12-14” with a relocation. Stock location between 9-10” shocks. Pretty sure he was asking about a stock 3rd gen.

For those of you running 12” shocks with the AG relocation kit. How much did they run you a piece? I’ve found 12” stroke smooth bodies with RR and the adjuster on ADS website for $442 a piece…..does that sound correct?

My smooth body Radflo were $1200ish.
My ADS bypasses are $1200ish each.

I’d call them for a more accurate quote.
