Couple things to note. Sports had painted matched rear bumpers and door mirrors. The mirrors appear to be (unfinished) textured plastic and a closer look at the rear bumper appears like it's one from a base model with the flat/satin black finish. Could be the truck had some rear end damage as you'll notice the driver side rear bed panel looks to be caved in (circled in red), so when they replaced the bumper they never bothered to paint match it and decided the base model finish was "close enough."

@burrito782 good eye, you’re right on. I knew the rear had some repaired damage, as the tailgate isn’t perfectly square and rubs the composite bed just a little on that side.
I just went outside and pulled the corner back out lol

@syntax what was the truck listed as originally? I don't think you mentioned it.

    "SR5 TRD OffRoad Sport"? lol

    Damn fine Taco nonetheless

Out of curiosity, where or what did you use to run the VIN?

All TRD's are based off SR5's, this is normal.

What should we be using to run VINs? I’ve run mine in a couple different places and I get weird results. According to one of those places I should have 16 inch alloy wheels but I have 17s that neither I nor my grandpa put on the truck, says I have features that I don’t and fails to mention ones I do, etc.

Some of y'all just like to comment just to hear yourselves type I swear. Reading comprehension is difficult I guess. They're all SR5s, some have trd packages. Regular SR5s and base models didn't have power inverter, which he said he had. It's not some grand mystery here. You're all not Sherlock Holmes.

It wasn't listed online, just at the end of a driveway with a window hanger
    "2010 Toyota 4x4"

I'm not accusing anyone of false advertising!

Ran it through toyota owners portal. The grade is listed as 4x4, body style is DC 4x4 V6. The fact that tire size was 16R245 makes me think maybe it wasn't a TRD Sport either, because I think they came with 17"?

Regardless, my question has been answered and I'm still happy with the purchase and my new truck.

I think i have a TRD off road but it was completely debadged when I bought it. It has rear differential lock, chrome bumper, power plug in bed, TRD wheels.

Both of my TRD Off Road Tacomas had SR5 badges. 2nd Gen is the best Gen. Peace.

LSD > locker most of the time anyway, even if it is simulated and not mechanical after 08.
