GME stock is bringing down the world economy.

    This summer layoffs will accelerate.
Folks will cash out their 401k’s because no job.
    More stock market sell off.
Real Estate inventory will start increasing due to folks listing their homes due to job loss.
Less folks able to afford due to high interest rates.
    More price cuts.
Airbnb hosts unable to rent their homes due to vacation slowdowns.
Foreclosures increasing from both families and small business Airbnb folks unable to make mortgage payment.
Overpriced cars that folks paid dealer markups will start becoming worthless.
The $85k KIA Hybrid is now worth $22k.

    GME stockholders begin receiving Lambos

Which color Lambo will you request?
I am particularly interested in the plain vanilla white. :D

I'm not one for fancy cars. I'll be content enough having @jandrews and @theesotericone working as stewards on my jet. They'll need decent jobs after the reckoning falls upon them

I think you were kidding with this post. But if not here are my thoughts:

Owning a home or having low LTV, owning cars, owning hard assets like guns, gold, silver, etc. This all hedges against the stock market crashing, and will leave many like myself just fine during a recession.

Most people buying Tesla and expensive hybrids own their homes.

Air bnb will be just fine, more people than ever will need places to stay.

Even if jobs decrease 10% literally everyone is hiring. People don't want to work right now, companies are begging for people.

If a homeowner is forced to sell, there are more willing buyers than ever. Housing market might drop slightly, but it won't be some mass surplus of homes for sale.

Organic movement by retail is my favorite. That's what I love about our free markets.

You're missing the point, I think. Shit's about to collapse. Arguing over semantics is irrelevant.

My point is shit can collapse all the way to the bottom. Those of us not living paycheck to paycheck will be just fine. They can't take away a house that you own outright.

I've been looking for a job upgrade for a while. Nobody seems to want pay my desired wage. Am I lazy?

I need $260k now as a baseline compensation package on salary and $20k for moving expenses and I need all my benefits paid upfront before I relocate to ensure I don't have insurance lapses.

You want people that know what they're doing and can bring in revenue? If you're sad because the taco bell staff is on strike, then make your gordita at home.

$260k is a lot to ask from another person/business. If you make that much per year you surely can afford the 3 months lapse in medical coverage.

$260k is a lot to ask from YOUR perspective. I have the skills, and I want to work. I've made more than that before. I'm offering you a discount actually. That's my requested compensation package. (Actually it's not, I'm shopping for $300k OTE right now, but that's not important)

If someone makes $50k and thinks they have it good, it doesn't mean everybody that makes $50k is doing well.

Unfortunately there are people willing to do the job for 2/3 the price. Even if that equals 2/3 the performance, companies usually go with a more cost effective solution.

I don't know what you do for work, so I can't form an opinion on the matter.

All I know is the previous and likely future job market I was in, is dying for people to come back. They had it good before, and could treat people like shit/overwork them. But now the tables have turned and need people bad.

I work in outside industrial sales. You can't hire anybody for 2/3 my asking price, because you can't find anybody with the people I know and the industry expertise I have that will work for that. You can hire some kid out of college for $40k and ask him to go make deals and he'll fail every single time before he even comes close to covering his wages with revenue.
