    Afternoon all:

Wouldn't mind having one, but the road that I live on is DANGEROUS, the only place I would feel safe is in the woods!

Just read an article where Shelby is producing a GT 500-H for Hertz rent a car with 900 hp, what could possibly go wrong!

Yeah I pretty much stay off the main roads, I take a lot of 25 and 30mph side roads through residential neighborhoods. When I do have to ride a main road route I try and stay on the sidewalk. It's an ebike so you can pretty much ride it anywhere.

Remember what happened last time Hertz rented Shelby's? The cars were rented out and they came back without the original engines. That or the renter accidently left the keys in the car and, oops... the car was gone in sixty seconds.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

I spent yesterday cutting up brush and then cutting the grass. Still got lots of brush to cut and clean up....and, of course, the chain saw crapped out again after 45 minutes of running. Ugh.

I feel your pain. I'm a once in a blue moon chainsaw user, so I bought a good Stihl saw, and a case of canned high octane fuel. I can let it sit for a year or more with fuel in it, which is normal for me. It's ready for an emergency, if needed. Fires right up every time.
Also, I learned the hard way to have an extra bar and chain on hand. I pinched the bar in a cut, couldn't remove it, un-bolted the saw from the stuck bar, installed my backup bar/chain on the saw, new better cut above the stuck bar, presto. Saved the day. It was a holiday, saw shop wasn't open.

Check to make sure there is nothing wrong with the fuel filter in the tank. I had a parishioner give me one because a repair shop could not fix it. The problem was the fuel filter was unattached to the fuel line and the line inlet was at the top of the tank. My nephew was happy to receive it as a gift.

My irrigation company is out today to turn on the system and install a drip line feed on two of the sprinkler heads. No more watering hanging baskets.

The engine runs fine - the issue is the chain tensioner...or something related to it. Once the chain starts to loosen and you try to adjust the tensioner it won't move far enough to tighten the chain. Take the cover off and the tensioner works fine. It's been a problem since I bought it but didn't realize it until after the warranty period was over. I'm about to just chuck it and get a new one.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Going to try to do some detail on the truck this AM before it gets real hot. Putz list of things is sufficient for the rest of the day. Changed the microwave bulb and................:sadviolin:. Pull the bottom, pull the socket to ohm it out and see if any obvious defect. If not that, it's supposed to be the control board. Sheesh. Wife needs to find the warranty receipts she put away. Oh well, have a great day.

I've been a small engine mechanic for many years, also a tool rental technician at a home depot for many years. So I have a long background in small engine repair. I have gas powered chainsaws and I too will only run true fuel or fuels like it as there are other brands but it's basicly the same product. But over the years I've been buying more and more battery powered equipment for home use, it's just so much more convenient. Only downside is you will eventually buy new batteries as they don't last forever. So I needed to get another battery for my ego equipment, it's always better and more cost effective to buy a tool with a battery. And since I was about to cut down a small locust nuisance tree why not a chainsaw this time. Works surprisingly well! I went with the 16" there are other sizes up to 18"

Exactly what I got last year! Still unused, but no fuel going bad inside it!

Your gonna like it! Just don't run the chain to tight, these electrics like the chain a little on the slack side.

Woke up to this. It isn't good on tomatoes so I put 5 gal buckets over them each night. I sure hope it's better tomorrow because I have a golf time at 9:10AM.

Had a bout of cabin fever and asked the girlfriend if she wanted to go for a drive. She lit right up and we went adventuring in the outback. Fifty miles in on gravel/dirt roads to see a cold water geyser in the middle of nowhere... and after an hour and a half it still hadn't burped so we left. But it was beautiful, found some camping spots, and had fun navigating some deep sand on the roads without getting stuck.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Lynn and I replaced 3 garden beds yesterday - the wood was rotting out so we went with plastic.

Last night was the Senior Dinner at the college's student-run restaurant - WOW!! Every course was delicious. It's always awesome to see the seniors serving their family members - smiles all around. There's a mix of students from the culinary, baking and pastry and Restaurant & Hotel management programs who staff it all with instructors over-seeing.
