Aloha! I was able to snag a short bed leer topper for my Gen 3 on FB marketplace. Unfortunately my truck is white and the topper is Tan.

Anyone recommend a paint shop or a wrap? I want to color match white but would wrap black if cheaper.

Check with MJmotorsport808 in Waipio. There's 4WP in Waipahu, and Maui Off-road in Waipio also.

Anyone have experiences getting parts powder coated here on Oahu, or have any recommended shops? I'm currently redoing my steel skids and sliders, and am considering going the powder route this time. TIA.

Thanks, looks great! I have an estimate request in with them...hopefully they don't want an arm/leg. The skids only ran me ~$300 when I had them done in VA a few years back.

Our dream is to move to the Islands and ship my Tacoma over sometime in the future as part of our retirement. We'll start with exploring the Big Island and then branch out to take a look around different islands to purchase a home or condo. You are living "The Life"

    Hey Jason,
Good to see u on this taco forum, dont know if u remember me but you helped me a bunch on the Colorado forum awhile back with suspension questions. I had a 15 Z71. I still see it driving around in Kaneohe once in a while. Anyway glad to have your knowledge here if needed.

Trying to decide for the 2022 model.
Hey all; I'm getting a new 2022 tacoma SR5 and some people here in Hawaii are telling me to get the the stainless steel exhaust to help with rusting.I don't plan on offroading or anything to rough. Anyone have any advice on if i need to bother or not?

Unless you wanted to upgrade for sound/aesthetics as well, I'm pretty sure your stock exhaust will be good for a few years at least. My 5-year old 2017 that I sold this last January had the stock exhaust on it for 3 years in VA (salt/brine in the winter) and almost 2 years over here...no rust at all on it. I guess YMMV, and others that have been here longer will probably chime in.

I assumed it was a sound/ aesthetics thing which i don't really care about but i wanted to double check on the often case i was wrong haha. I'm selling my 2007 which has it's stock exhaust and I haven't noticed any rust really but I've been hearing toyota has been using lower quality material on models after 2007.
I remember the winters of VA very well and all that black ice. My area when they did salt the roads they used a lot. Or sand in some neighborhoods for some reason.
