That's a sweet connection! I know they've been pretty vocal about continuing to privateer SX only for fun, but man it'd be such a cool team to gain some backing and grow a bit. Maybe switch bikes and be a more prominent supporting team for a different factory, since Yami already has Club MX quickly making a name for themselves.

They are really happy with the bikes and are pretty much die-hard Yamaha, so I don't see them switching brands unless something drastic happens. But I know what you mean, they do sort of fly a bit under the radar, with Club sort of blowing up in the last 3 years. That being said, for the scale of team that they are, I think sticking with the Yamahas makes sense. Being the number 2 Yamaha satellite team isn't too bad. No point changing that part of the program if everyone is happy. But I do wish they could grow a bit and get another bigger name on there (and do the outdoors lol.) But it is awesome for the to secure an outside sponsor like they have. Plus they had weekly rotating title sponsors for a few other rounds, which helps bring in some more $ and get some different type of exposure. The whole vibe of that team is just cool.

Update: McElrath to Husky. So that's good.

Rumor mill on Vital is that Evan Ferry is still shopping around for contract. Sounds like Husky offered him a deal that did not include turning pro right away / turning pro was contingent on goals being met beforehand.

Interesting. So I assume they were trying to get him to potentially win a Lorettas title and other big amateur exposure before they were looking to move him up?

That was my thought - win a B title before going pro. He won 125 and Schoolboy last year, but that's looked over since he didn't race 250 B or Open I'd assume.

Interesting. I can understand from the team side, because the Trio of brands seems to lack big-time Am presence in the later, high profile classes. They do fantastic in the younger classes, because they have the best bikes. Their minis all the way up to super-mini are so good. But it seems like all the high-profile guys are coming up on Yamaha or Kawi once they are on 250s in the big-name classes. So maybe the team is just trying to maximize him before he moves up. But if he has other plans, then I guess I can see why he would leave. I haven't really followed him or that situation closely, so I'm just thinking out loud lol. Hopefully he can land somewhere. He is for sure a good rider.

All fair points. I just follow him closely because I was a big fan of Tim, and want to see his boy succeed haha. The amateur world has wayyyy too many moving pieces to keep up with unless it's someone's full time job.

No ride for Max Anstie has forced him back to Europe to ride MXGP. He'll be taking Herlings' spot.

Mookie likely out for the Pro Moto series to recover from his SX knee injury. RJ Hampshire slated to fill his slot in the 450 class.

Pulled the trigger on MAVTV Plus. Fun fact, they have all pro motos dating back to the 2014 season.

Weird that it is not 1 of the actual Yamaha teams though. I wonder if that is something still being worked out or if he just chose a bike to run until he gets signed. Regardless, that is cool. That is the bike to be on, regardless.

It also looks bone stock with one of his graphics kits slapped on it. But knowing how social media operates, hard to not think something is lined up if he's posting (or reposting) about it.

Apparently according to Vital, they bought a KX and a YZF to try. He chose the YZF and raced it pretty much stock at the qualifier. And now he's testing the Star bike at their facility. So that will be cool if he ends up on that team.

I am fairly certain that is the line-up for next week. Kitchen is riding but I am unsure if he is ready to race yet. Craig is on the 450 for the summer and then moving to Husky next year. JMart obviously is out for the rest of the year and moving to Club. I assume Romano will jump up after LL, possibly Leblanc too.
