Maintenance day

 

Replaced calipers (pads and rotors) on my 2015 and did a brake fluid flush with a:

Observations:

1. If you have a compressor, the mityvac is an amazing product; and
2. If you have tough to diagnose vibrations that don’t necessarily translate when applying your brakes, check your calipers.

Truck drives so much better

Can someone here take me to a forum or have any information about what’s the best tire size to with on 1.5 lift?
I’m looking at height only
For example 265/80r16,265/85r16 or 265/90r16 ?

 

Thanks but that’s a tire size calculator what I’m trying to find out is if I can install a taller tire on a 1.5 lift with out any rubbing or modifications no issues

I don't think anyone makes anything over 265/75. At least not that I have seen. If you have anything above a base with 5 lug (anything 6 lug) then you should be able to run a 265/75 with no issues any bigger probably wont fit without trimming or spacers. If you are looking for height and not width 255/85/16 is the way to go. 33s but skinny, should fit.

 

Ok cool I’m go with 265/75r16 because I think it looks beefy currently have 265/65/17

Those 2 tires are 1/2" difference from center to OD (per side, of course). If you're running that close to rubbing now, you're running too close to rubbing

 

But won’t the 1.5 lift compensate for that 1/2 inch so I believe it won’t rub right ? I hope not so if anyone here has 1.5 lift with 265/75r16 tire with no issues please let me know

 

So the lift will clear at static ride height but anything bigger then stock will probably rub at full compression of the suspension. A lot of people mistake having a lift with clearance, but when the suspension is compressed fully there's no "lift" so you'll still rub unless you create clearance for the tire however a skinny tire or the biggest stock size you can fit will fit just fine.

yeah! Not huge but for sure some added power. More happy with the sound of the truck now over anything
