lemme look tomorrow there's a place in Denver that has the obscure

I needed some very uncommon 12 point bolts and they gave them to me because they had been sitting so long

Anyone have tips/recommendations for towing with a Taco? Looking at trailers to make a few trips to the western slope, loaded with household stuff, tools, etc. Looking at 5x8 and 6x10 enclosed trailers, and wondering if a full bed and that size trailer would be too much for the taco. Also rolling with steel skids, 33s, and 5.29 gears.

5x8 is pretty small. Not much bigger than a sheet of a sheet of plywood.
I'd go with the 6x10. Should pull fine with the gears. Leave room for stopping and don't be afraid to use the right lane and the pullouts. Gas mileage will suck either way.
I have a 5x10 with a 3400lb axle that I used to haul grandpa's tools, press and heavy welding shit, coffee tables, etc, from Kansas to here with the first gen in stock form. Never skipped a beat.

    not a single mod
I've got a 6x10 tool trailer did I haul around with a first gen and the 3g.
Has the aerodynamics of a brick.
    But it tows just fine.
As mentioned above slow down a little bit, probably will need to change automatic transmission fluid on a shorter interval.

Does the 3rd gen off road have an aux transmission cooler? You should be ok with overdrive off. Gas mileage will probably suck as will going downhill from the passes without trailer brakes.

I thought the 5x8 was a good size and with a big brake kit and supercharger, it wasn’t very noticeable on the flats. I didn’t not take it into the mountains or Wyoming.

Can't say I've listened to them aside from the album I posted. For some reason his voice reminds me of Tom Hanks, if Tom Hanks was the lead vocalist of a band called The Builders and The Butchers. :drunk:

I pulled into Timnath Elementary for my son's field day today. I saw this rocken army green soo I had to park next to him. Looking out at my kids Elementary, thinking to myself, "My great grandmother taught at this school. Before ww2 before ww1...

And then I wondered, did people park sick horses and buggies side by side? Did my greatgrandpa look over and say "look at those wagon wheeels and yoke on that buggy."

    Lol.. I love you Colorado!

If it is an automatic with the trailer package, yes. S-Mode 3 or 4!

Playing with the new cooler the last few days. It does have quite the temp swing between running and idle. But nothing that I feel is out of the ordinary.
It'll cool itself down one or two degree below what it's set on the readout.
And it kicks back on at two degrees above the setting.
So after nerding out on it, ( math, and shit) filling it with bottled water and a pint of milk, ( milk seems to freeze easier than water) i found the happy spot is 36-37 degrees.
Purchased a legit fridge temp gauge for it and now can easily see if the interior is in the sweet spot.
I way over think this shit. :anonymous:

How big of a tire will it fit with a 3" lift?

    :D

Looking forward to reading about what you think of it.
Pretty cool trucks with a funky front end.

Do not bring it to Salida for their charging station, cuz it is still walled in with OSB.
