Go all the way around the lake as if you’re going to the Staircase campground and then take the bridge over the river, go up the mountain until you can’t anymore. There is a small mostly flat field up there near the top off the main dirt road. It is a nice spot surrounded by trees.

I know it's not what you're asking for, but if you split wood occasionally for camping and outdoor fires, this is a great purchase. If you're heating your house with wood though just ignore this suggestion. I usually split about a cord of douglass fir a year that I get from my local buy nothing group. Ever since I got this maul, I rarely ever need my wedges. I found mine at a local small hardware store.

I just had 4 trees taken down on my property and kept the rounds. I was thinking about just going apeshit with a maul, but its likely I'm too fat and too old to be able to get out of bed for the next week if I do that.

It's actually fun (and I'm fat and old)

Who'd you use for the tree service? I have a huge fir that died from the heatwave last summer that I need taken down. I've been putting off getting quotes.

We used New Northern Tree service. I highly recommend them as they did all the work in a day, seemed like cool guys and as of three weeks of being done, still haven't showed up for payment lol. If youre interested, DM me and I'll shoot you their info

Hey guys, anyone interested in a roll up tonneau cover for a short bed? In excellent condition, got it in December, held up great to snow and heavy rain with no water getting inside. I decided to buy a Softopper is only reason for parting. Paid $305 for it, hoping to get $200 just to get rid of it before the topper gets here.

I do about 3 cords a year with a maul. It's a decent workout but it takes a while and I have a lot of chores in the summer. I make the kids stack but they only have two gears. Slow and stop.

@dilbert , Clearview Tree Service is what I used and most of the neighborhood uses them. They get busy in summer though. $1200 for three massive doug fir and one of them cost extra because of too much rot. They didn't want to climb it so this guy climbed way up another tree and then swung over to it. I wish I had that on video. It's super fun to watch them work.

That price didn't include any cleanup or cutting them into rounds. I'm still burning branches and bark in the fire pit. Bought a big saw to cut up the rounds.

Anyone want an All Pro U-bolt flip kit? (Pre 05')

Never ended up using it, couldn't return and I've moved 2 times, hauling it around both times (I'm part hoarder) so instead of recycling the brand new kit I figured I'd throw it out here in case anyone else wants it. Just PM me

Thanks for the info. I think mine should still be climbable and the next tree over is too far away. I don't want to deal with branches but definitely want the wood. I can buck it into rounds if that's cheaper.
