Great video. I didn't struggle too much with the Meso directions, but I'd have absolutely used this vid during install.

Is it bolted to the bed or just the side rail?

Side rail for connection, and it sits on the ledge for lower support.

This is my tundra but still applies to Tacoma. I know some people mount the rears facing forward but the tundra is different set up and wouldn’t mount the same way. The tundra behind the seat access is from under that back bottom seat so I couldn’t mount there. Tools and crap is in that location. and Tacoma mod still applies to the thread

I installed the tundra vled footwell kit a while ago but never hooked up the rear seats portion. I just wasn’t a fan of the location knowing in time they would get kicked or stuff getting crammed there or whatever else.

instead I just used 6’ extension from the front passenger and routes the wire tucked under the passenger center console side and installed a vled max pod in the rear portion of the center console. It’s on the surface that faces down. Drill 1” hole and mount with the rear mount kit. No dangling wires under the seats.

decided to use the remaining portion of the tundra kit and install in the Tacoma that runs of the cargo light switch. Same function as the cargo light. Off / door / on.

one kit, two trucks. No night shots yet but that little light is bright.
