Right on!! Did you verify that they light up and whatnot? We always suggest doing that before closing it all up.

Well, I'm going to assume they're working as intended. I had the doors open so I could shove my head down in the footwell, as soon as I plugged the light in they lit up. I'm assuming that was due to the fact that the door was open. I know the LED's work for sure. They appear to shut off when the door is closed as well.

Yep that’s right. Then when your door is closed you should be able to turn your light stalk to PARK or LOW and you’ll get an ambient light. The high setting (door open) takes priority.

Got mine installed! Also, bit of a note, the instructions that shipped with it shipped in the form of a QR code that needed to be scanned, when scanning it, the website takes you to Third Gen Tacomas and I think Tundras as well. Had to dig around this thread to find the connector.

What do they look like with the door shut and the park lights on? Like how bright are they with doors shut?

My phone kept taking really goofy photos when I was trying to take a picture of that, so anything I post would be inaccurate in my opinion to how they actually look. They're dim, but for me they're perfect out of the box. They come with an adjustment if they're too dim/too bright.

It’s really hard to capture on camera straight out of the box. The PWM comes adjusted to the lowest setting by default, so the only adjustment from there is brighter. If we allowed people to go dimmer the lights would just turn off  Also note that the different shades of white are different perceptual brightnesses. So the lower kelvin rating will be brighter than the higher rating. Red and Blue are generally dimmer than all of the whites.

Installed the fronts today. Very easy. I have the kit to do the rear as well. Maybe I'll run back outside before more rain comes through.

I mounted the dimmer right below the fuses. Accessible from the coin tray.

That’s a super clean spot for the PWM! Now I wish I would’ve made the wire run shorter  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Yea, there was some bundling and zip tying going on lol. It's all good though. better to have more than not enough.

The only downside I found (with the truck, not the light kit) is lack of a good spot to mount the lights right in the middle of each footwell. No place was providing a large enough surface area to accommodate the full length of the double sided tape and still; 1. be relatively centered; 2. not visible; 3. Not have something block light output.... I think I have enough on each side to hold it where they are and meet those requirements tho.

Pic of them on. And second pic shows where I mounted the passenger side. I removed the wiring loom guide? holder? whatever that white clip is called. That gave me a decent place. Curious where others placed them on theirs.
