Now this is interesting. Haven't seen one of these before.

It shows a JShift shift knob and you can clearly see that the left side is not rounded and the button slightly visible. They had JShift ADD cases? Is this lever from one of those center lock tcases? Listing says its off a 4Runner.

 

Yeah j-shift with ADD was a thing. Also that shifter came from the rare 4Runner with I believe the center locking diff. I think @Empty_Lord can elaborate better than myself.

Multi-mode

Was an option for 99-00 4Runners before they moved over to a 'center lock' button and did away with a rear locker option.

ADD was standard on all 3rd Gens which is why you'll never see a manual hub variant (from the factory).

 

Probably strong enough but this us structural and holding a AC unit in the celling lol

 

That nut and bolt combo is doing most of the work

 

@Area51Runner I don't know if it'll help but I have a 98 j shift transfer case. However it's from a 4cyl so I don't know of the spline count matches up for you? I'd hate to part with it but I'd be willing to sell it if it'd work for you
