why would they be unhappy to have work
    It probably pays well
Dealerships are large with many bays
With some often unused due to a technician shortage

My truck was occupying space at their shop for 2 months waiting for the frame. This was the first time they had done one so the work took longer and I expect their reimbursement for warranty is lower than the tech working on a paying customer.

Lastly, they generally don’t see/work on rusty trucks out here. Those of us from the rust belt know that makes every part a pain and means you break parts and have to liberally apply penetrating oil and heat.

They just don’t have to deal with the PITA that was the reality of my truck.

The shops in the Northeast and Midwest have got it nailed and know how to bang out the job and make good money at it. Out here, not so much.

    I can’t really fault them….

While I wouldn't refer anyone to the dealership that completed my frame swap, it actually wasn't them they sourced it out to a local 3rd party, mm ostly because they dicked me around 3 times and only after leaving a shitty review on multiple search sites and a competing dealer sent it to corporate for approval where they didn't even put that level of effort into inspecting my frame, did they actually decide my frame met the standard of the enhanced warranty. I can provide you with their info and any/all the paperwork I was given after completion here in Washington state.

    Just let me know. :burnrubber:

That’s their fault for not ordering the frame first or parking it outside
