Great news to share about wife's condition; when I picked her up Monday from the hospital her blood count was 7.8 and Wednesday they checked it again at the local hospital/clinic and it went up to 8.8
Good sign of improvement but the normal range for female is 12-15. She's feeling better too.
Today's agenda is more sign-offs on coming up work but first at 7 AM going to put out a fire to maintain my fire-watch qualification

I also have redundant tools. Last week when I went to NAPA for that rear main seal, I spotted a drum brake tool for putting springs on...I bought it because the last drum brakes I worked on I couldn't find the one I had. Utility knives....they just dissappear. My work banned the regular type of Utility knife in favor of a new spring loaded retractor with a round edge blade. Lots of the good Utility knives went home with me.

 

That is great news, hopefully she continues to improve

 

Last time I went they couldn't get the pit to light. They said "just pretend it's on fire".

 

I've been driving my Tacoma all week. My daughter's Jeep these cheap radiator keep blowing out. I told her just keep my car and save her money. The OEM Mopar seems to be internet consensus on way to go $450.00
Anyway looks like my truck average MPG anywhere between 17.1 -18.8 on work route.

 

We used to have a pit, now it's just a LED lights on a board and a extinguisher that has a light to trigger sensors at the bottom. Sweep those lights on the sensors it's usually pretty easy unless someone fart around with the settings.

@EatSleepTacos told me there was free beer... er, machinists in here. I'm trying to get a non-Tacoma related project going, and I have struck out trying to find someone to help me locally. The actual machining part isn't terribly complex, although there is some precision required. Is anyone interested in trying to take it on?

So I've got a small aluminum gearbox that needs to have about ~1mm of material removed from the front inside face. These pictures show the modification better than I can describe it.

 

That shouldn't be a problem, do both halves need it or just one side?

 

Both halves need to be identical, or as close as possible.
