    Good afternoon folks. Happy Friday. Lots of yard work for me this weekend as well. Have to find and repair a leak in the little 100 gallon garden pond/stream I built into my deck. Every year I have to repair something. Just replaced the pump 2 weeks ago. I run the pump and waterfall all winter and the fish just go dormant for 4 months. The creek chubs and minnows don't like it when the water gets down to 6-8" deep. The water level dropped when we were out of town for 4 days last weekend and apparently a heron or raccoon had a feast! The fish were all originally caught in the creek in my yard. One of them had been in the pond for going on 6 years now and was almost 10" long. The rest of ones that are left in there now are her offspring.
