Oh there will be some mods all right
It would probably be a pretty tight squeeze, though the head does move enough to let you lay it flat instead of standing. I'm assuming the M12 would be smaller so you may want to go that route.

Thats what I was kind of thinking, dont need a ton of power but just something to move air, inside of the cars the air is dead still and you know how humid WI is!

Oh yeah, definitely gets humid. Yeah I would say M12 (again assuming it would be smaller than the M18, I would double check the dimensions to be sure) if you want to put it on the dash or M18 if you want to shoot from the ground into the cab.

    Don't judge.

I actually don't have a work bench right now.

    Same :anonymous:

I have a 9’ 700# steel workbench I got paid to remove from someone’s house 20 years ago in my childhood home, I haven’t had the space to put it in 20 years! I also can’t bring myself to pay for a workbench that fits my current space when a slab door and two saw horses do the same job 90% of the time.

Used mine yesterday to demo a 30yr old PT deck. Worked great maneuvering around all the joists, posts, etc.

with the package deals at Home Depot, there's often a "refund value" for each item. if you just want the batteries, you could buy the set, and return the weed wacker for a partial refund.

I did that with (i think) an M12 Stubby Impact, that came with a couple 2 aH batteries. didn't want/need the small batteries, so I returned them and ended up with the tool for a total of about 50% its normal "tool only" price.

That is a good deal, I have been eyeing that too but don't have a use for it. The Fuel blower for $89 after returning the 5.0 is another good one. Looks like the m18 fuel chainsaw with 12.0 for ~$339 and fuel 24" trimmer for ~$89 after 5.0 return are expired. Good deals on yard equipment lately. I started watching slickdeals.net for milwaukee deals after realizing I missed the free 12.0 with the m18 fuel chainsaw.

Wait, thats a thing..? So I can buy that kit with an 8.0 and a free 5.0, keep just the batteries, and return the bare tool? That seems too good to be true haha

Edit HD lists the trimmer tool-only as $229 right now. Seems way too good to be true if I bought that kit and kept both batteries haha

You can return the 5.0 and keep the weedwhacker and 8.0 for $199. you can see them as separate prices once you view the cart, so they can be returned separately without affecting the lowered prices. Called a 'hack' at HD so I search for that term on slickdeals.

Alternately you can return the weedwhacker and 8.0 but keep the 5.0 for $99 but that is not a HO battery

yea, I've done it before, but I don't know for sure which items could be returned separately. like @tacoma_ca said, I think it depends on how its itemized out in the cart/on the receipt. if its a separate line item, you can return it for that refund amount. Its often not the full price of the item, but when you buy it in a set, and return it for the reduced price, you still come out ahead compared to buying the items separately.

Ahh ok. That makes more sense. I was thinking of keeping both batteries. Too good to be true :D

Yup same. Its almost a good enough deal Id buy the kit and just sell the trimmer on marketplace. But Im having a surprisingly hard time moving a few other M18 items on there so idk, maybe folks only like brand new power tools
