He was like “hey pull forward so I can fill up.”

    “No.”

“Well fuck you then.” And backed up to the pump. Pretty clever.

Have narrowed down my issue solely to the 12v power supply to the blower motor. I used my son's power wheels battery to test the rest of the circuit. With the battery grounded to the seat bolt and depinning the existing b/y from the connector. Using a repair pigtail I created a lead to the battery. The blower motor functions normally through all speeds with the clean 12v supply from the power wheels battery. Next step is to check the voltage at the IA4 connector and then split the fuse box in the engine bay if necessary to determine if I need pull a new wire from the IA4 junction or all the way from the heater relay in the fuse box. Then should be back in business!

Damn, you’ve really gone down the rabbit hole on this one! This is some quality troubleshooting, I like it.

Before I started towing betty, I wasn't sure of the best way to secure her on the trailer. When transporting a vehicle, you want to hook to something unsprung, so that way the straps stay tight while the truck is bouncing up and down on the trailer. There are a few different ways to do it, but I decided on hooking to the LCA and the rear axle. Another common way is to go through the wheels, but my chewed up beadlock rings may chafe the strap. Another way is over the tire, but that's trickier to set up on my trailer and is usually used on car transporters that have a million tie-down points.

The LCA does move a little bit as the suspension moves, but not enough to cause any issues. I got all of this info from the long travel thread on here and LCA/rear axle was the general consensus.

It's also common to see people create an X with the straps to eliminate side-to-side movement, but that's not recommended. If you lose one strap, the other is useless because they're pulling against each other. Going straight back gives redundancy. Ideally, the front straps would be straight as well but my options are limited with my trailer and my ability to add more tie-down rings.

I've been very happy with the two products below.

Ok. Just wondered. I see them used by the big car hauler guys and didn't know.

I'm sure they're fine, a big selling point of those for the car hauler guys is they're so versatile, they'll work for a myriad of different vehicles. Versus my setup wouldn't work for anything other than a truck, but that's ok because that's all that's getting up the ramps of my trailer.

Yeah, I really don't want to, nor do I have the money to fork over to have someone else diagnose it. Thinking logically, I bet my issue is at the IA4 connector. I suspect my roof leak I had a while ago is the culprit. The IA4 connector sits at or near the top of the electrical connectors on the driver's side, directly below the A pillar. I assume it got water in it. Hopefully I have a good clean 12v at the male pin of the connector. If so, I will just depin it, and use a spade connector and heat shrink to attach my new run of wire under the dash. If I have to go clear from the heater relay. I will just pull one continuous new wire through the firewall and eliminate the IA4 connector entirely.

Look into Shock Straps...they've got a "band" that stretches as you tighten the normal nylon ratchet strap, but as items bounce and move, be it trailer bounce, suspension flex, etc. The band essentially takes up the slack, keeping the straps taught.

That’s what’s nice about strapping to unsprung parts of the truck, the straps are always tight. That is a cool product though.
