Icon S2 install today on @Georgeth1022 ’s truck. A few hiccups which is expected from Icon but got it all buttoned up. Now to look for some sweet jumps.

Haha. I’ve had a few installs and CMCs here and there. Little stuff so nothing too crazy. Couple that with my habit of not taking pictures for updates.

Here’s something not Tacoma specific but what I’ve been working on. Anyone that’s visited the shop may have noticed my old Yamaha living in the corner with wires hanging out of it. It’s a cafe/scrambler project that went stale a long time ago. I cut the back half of the frame off and welded in a new seat hoop and de-tabbed the rest of the frame to clean up the lines- then it sat in my garage for something like 8 years now. Well I finally got the urge to finish it and started wiring it back up. Started building a new battery box for it so I could finalize the wiring location of key components.

Speaking of rewire jobs. Here’s a Blue Sea panel I just finished. What you can’t see underneath are the 6 relays and if you squint hard you’ll see 2 Deutsch connectors (12 pin for the relayed accessories and an 8 pin for the switch wiring going into the cab). The makes removing the panel as one piece extremely easy: pos/neg connections and the two deutsch plugs and the whole thing comes out as a unit for repair/diagnostics.

I wish I'd thought that far ahead when building my Bussman fuse block. I put every accessory circuit on its own 2-pole weatherpak connector. At least I combined the trigger wires for the relays into one connector.

If it makes you feel any better, this is the 4th time I rebuild this box. So it only took me three time to think of it myself.
    :anonymous:

I actually though of using weather packs since I have a lot of them and that what I use for all my lights. When I laid everything out I realized how bulky it would be. The 12 pin deutsch was a leftover from another project and it just happens to be exactly what I needed for this.

    Finished product(s).

Full Archive regalia: Hammer Hangers, high clearance crossbar, and 2.5 shock relocate. Coupled with tuned 12” Kings and AccuTune u-bolt flip and bump stops. Extended brake lines went in as well. Preexisting stage 2 Deaver u402s wrap up the rear end. Same truck was just down at JB fab getting their long travel kit and LCA pivots installed.

Should be buttery AF with this setup. Probably the first time I get FOMO from a truck I’ve worked on.
