People can be dreadful creatures sometimes, that's for sure.

Back at the height of Covid 2 years ago, all the Walmarts around here had single file lines to enter and exit to limit the number of people in the store at any given time. They had a police officer monitoring the entrance and exit. An actual police officer, not a security guard. Only at Walmart would you need a police officer. No other stores had that.

Anyway...I had to go there for something and it was a little crazy in there.....few people social distancing, sketchy mask wearing. As I was leaving there were 2 people yelling at each other for some reason. When I made it to the exit I said to the officer, "they ought to not let crazy people in". Without missing a beat, the officer said, "brother, this is Walmart. If we did that, there would be no one in the store".

Just heard from a veteran PC repair shop owner: "Windows 11 Must be Stopped and This is Why!" https://youtu.be/LcafzHL8iBQ

I learn something new every day, and I did not know that Linux needs permission from Microsoft to run on PCs. First thing I do with a new cellphone is turn off GPS locate and data, and occasionally I'll find that those functions have been reactivated... Microsoft is in control, "Resistance is futile, prepare to be assimilated!" (Fortunately, I've learned from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and always know where my towel is. Still looking for a Babel fish, but one of these days they'll turn up at an American Fisheries Society meeting.) And now for something completely different...

Hoping everyone has been enjoying a fantastic Friday, a wonderful weekend, the Ides of May and a primary election day (17th here), and watching the Blood Moon in a couple days.
:proposetoast::laughing: About time to rotate Barcelona Red out of the garage with the 131k Red Chevy truck (Malibu LS, 2.2L Saab engine, and all the options except the hole in the roof hatch):yay:. I now have the Benchmark Maps Road & Recreation Atlases for Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Hooray for summer, good weather, and many miles!

Ooops.... Damn: busted! yeah I forgot about those.... :( But it's not my fault: "Almost all of the steel wheel SR5s have them..." "I thought they were a forced port install"... "The dealer told me they were real aluminum "cover things"..... "My boss hates me".... "I kinda like them so it doesn't count"... "The dog did it...

Yeah, that's it: it was the dog.....

Thank you! It's all good no worries. I saw them on a bunch of Tacomas when I was looking so I thought they were an automatic add-on at the dealer. I even checked to see if the factory center caps were still there... They were so it's a "gray" area technicality". lol

Those sound like something that the dealer wanted to be rid of. My SR5 had the standard steel wheels without covers, and the lo-cal Toyota dealer happened to have one hub center when I needed one ($89, ouch!). Then again, you'll find plenty of ideas on TW to spend even more money on... and those are just the most worthwhile improvements. Sweet dog! Nice to have the back seat and windows for a dog! (Keeps them from having to stand on somebody's lap to look out the window.) :fistbump:
