I'm hoping that's the case. That being said, it already happened to me once that the next model year of the car I had came with Apple car play but it was not compatible with my model year which was only one year prior. And the new car didn't change that much either, same body style, engine, etc., so only minor upgrades but still wasn't compatible. Hoping that's not the case with Toyota. Well see...

I have it on my Sport and still can't figure out how to use them sensors on the door handle when I need them it is just a big confusion. I touch top back doors don't unlock, touch both top and bottom and still nothing so I end up opening drivers door and unlock doors with the button on the door and it works or use the FOB also works but the sensors no patience for it.

 

If you switch the door handle to open all 4 doors in settings it also unlocks the tailgate if you have that option.

 

No, just trade in and buy a 2022.

 

Just for the hell of it I checked the setting on my Taco and do not see any settings for doors. Am I missing something.

When you have it set for all doors it will also unlock the tail gate with the OEM tail gate lock.
