Hi gang....For all of you waiting, mine didn't go from F to G until it arrived at the dealership. The air pressures mileage and fuel levels didn't show till the day it got there. I picked it up a week ago today, and I'm pretty happy with it. I got a relatively plain SR5. I took it out on I94 today to see what kind of mileage it would get, and the display said it was getting better than the literature said. It was showing about 26 to 27mpg at 60 to 65 mph. I might have a tune done in the future to see if it smooths out the shifting, but it's not bad right out of the box. The 2016 RAV I traded is still sitting on the lot.

Well my salesman came through and was able to get me in with a different finance guy today instead of having to wait to Monday.

Loving it so far! Still getting used to the shifter, I've done 1-2-5 more than I'd like to admit, and my only complaint is that reverse is steeper than it should be.

Put ~40 miles on it today, and plan for another ~200 tomorrow.

I’m approaching 2 weeks of my truck sitting at the Logistics Park with no app activity. Dealer seems clueless. It would be great to have some sort of better visibility on actual delivery ETA. I’ve been putting off spring yard work and home remodeling projects hoping to have a truck bed to haul mulch, top soil, plywood, drywall, etc.

Congrats! That's crazy how each of our scenarios differs, for example, mine arrived in ABQ Wed of this week and saw the app milage increase by one mile on Friday morning, but the dealer still has not received the truck, you would imagine that our trucks were on the same train lol, oh well I've waited this long, whats another couple days, or weeks......

Contacted that Koch Toyota others in the forum have mentioned - they told me that a TRD Pro in ELG with a manual was ... going to be difficult. Then the sales guy offered a TRD Offroad "built better than a pro" by them... said for the same Pro MSRP, they would put a lift, tires, bedliner on an Offroad with all the bells and whistles ...

    Tacoma OffRoad - $59,112
    any color, manual transmission
    stage 1 kit
    pro grill
    BFG K02
    black out package
    advanced tech
    premium package
    floormats

Claims a roughly 60-day turn around. $1,000 dep to get started. 50% of parts when truck arrives or I can complete financing.

Any thoughts on this approach? I was pretty sold on the ELG - but - by the time I get it, I think it'll just be everywhere.

What does a stage 1 kit include?

I would say that the Off Road with all the stuff you mentioned except the tires/grill/and kit is roughly 45k (for auto.. I think manual might be cheaper). The TRD lift kit that comes with the Grill is like 1400 plus an average of 1k installation. Tires are like.. 1100. So I'm estimating that your out the door with parts and labor should be like.. maybe 49k plus tax. That's an 10k premium I probably wouldn't do.

Just for another piece of info.. I'm getting the exact same truck in auto with the lift kit/grill/skid plate/black out package/cover/floormats.. for 51k tax included.

He just said it was a "Toyota Stage 1 Lift Kit". Yeah, it felt a little high - thanks for the info!

    For sure.

    My guess it it's this
    https://www.toyota.com/racing/trd/news/2021/trdusa-feature---tacoma-trd-lift-kit

Which is nice.. I'm getting it so I can basically toss it into the loan and it's covered under the warranty.. but I don't think it's as good as the trd pro suspension by a wide margin.

Mine has been stuck too in Logistics Park since 5/2. I finally got some alerts from my app yesterday so I'm hoping it'll be loaded onto a truck soon. Where is yours being delivered? Mine is going to Chicago.

I just checked your VIN again, it has an update. Shows it rail arrived yesterday, just waiting on a truck now to get to the dealership. Like we guess you got the notification probably when it was getting unloaded.

Wow does that mean it just arrived at Logistics Park? Dealer must've lied or didn't know what they were talking about when they said it was processed at Logistics Park on 5/7. I'm hoping it gets on the truck today or Monday... Thanks again for checking, Rod!!

It could have been sitting there, maybe it was just unlodaded yesterday. When they do that they scan the VIN and updates the system.

Koch has nice people at their dealer, problem is they’re charging 2k over MSRP. I would not pay a premium for a Tacoma right now with gas heading towards $5.50+ …. The truck market is in the midst of a transition as we speak. Deals will be much better in a few months.

Check with more dealers. They arent easy to get but they are out there. I'm not sure what they mean by "built better than a PRO". Also that price is much higher than what pros cost.

Agreed, Koch is playing the market games and charging over MSRP. I wouldn’t bother purchasing from them at the moment. Overpriced
