    the reason I ask is cause it’s amazing how crazy m18 tech is. The only thing mine hasn’t broke free or broke off is a u bolt one time.

    In my experience, rebuilding engines is just about being organized. If you have a good space and clean area w a nice table you can do a good job. Clean the shit right or replace it w new and it just comes down to good plastigage and ring gaps. Building motors is like 10x easier than fabrication.

    I have the HPT 36v 1/2" mid-torque and the "compact" HPT 18v 1/2" driver. I like them both. I wish the compact was more compact and that there was a 3/8" drive option.

    Torque Test Channel found that the mid-torque outperformed the comparable M18, but not by enough to make one switch colors... and the M18 is smaller and lighter to boot.
