You’re correct. I looked at this tonight and it does move about 1/4” or so when revving it. Hopefully it doesn’t do much more than that under load. I’m kinda concerned I am gonna be redoing that downpipe now

Damn, his looks super close to the ac lines and rear primary just like mine. This makes me feel a little better

 

The picture doesn't really give it justice. Somewhere between a .5 - 1" of clearance.

The plastic clamps, and the wiring loom were the most important to shield from the convection heat.

On mine, for the added clearance, is where I welded on the bent right out of that plastic and cleared up a ton of room. Already sent you that picture though.

 

Hey another stupid question guys!
Has anyone heard of this company below? They are located in the E Phoenix area & about 15 minutes from our casa. I was thinking about asking them if they be interested in building some turbo manifolds. But don’t most turbo manufacturers have different mounting flanges? I’m *only guessing* they would like to what turbo to manufacture for? As you can tell I know absolutely nothing about turbo’s and their mounts! Any advice for a dumb $h!t? It’s just an idea I only wish I knew how many systems were sold by the company that sells that Rotrex system.

Oh, I have seen their work and it’s incredible plus they are very heavily made! Some of the tubing is cast and machined welded.

 

I’m going to start wrapping stuff this weekend and try to get a better idea what I’m up against. I think I’m somewhere around the 3/8”-1/2” range for clearance on that ac line. I will check that though when once I have everything bolted up again.

 

I’ve heard of them, and I think I’ve bought some gaskets from them for my turbo oil drain, but I haven’t had any other first hand experience with them. It looks like they make some quality stuff though.

As far as turbo manifolds go, it wouldn’t hurt to ask and see what they say. I would always go with a v-band style flange but that’s just my personal preference

 

Full Race is top quality. I guess they moved out of Cali. I could have sworn they were there a few years ago. Was probably 6 years, last time that I looked, for whatever reason.

 

Mike bought their feed and drain hose kit for his, and well as coolant fittings I believe. I have their aluminum BOV cover on my turbo. Instead of the plastic. Expensive piece....

i like that a lot, that plastic bov cover is the one thing about the turbo that could be improved. Does that have an o-ring, or how does it seal up?

Well I know this is no place for this but shit you are not going to believe this!
I sold the set of 19" chrome wheels, the ones in the photo below, it now has the same wheels just in silver. He started looking at my 2015 then asked me if I wanted to sell it, I told him no. He said just give me a price so I said ok $25k, he asked to look at it more then got the VIN and said I have your number. Later called me and asked if I take 23k I said no he said 24k I said no. He said ok I pay you 25k when can I have it I have the cash now. God Damn we don’t need two trucks and a car but I don’t know what to do! Well I don’t need another supercharger now lol… Here’s the truck he wants the door handles are now white.

I think he’s just a sales man for Freightliner trucks in Phoenix. He said he’s been a sales man for them for over 25 years.

The stupid thing is believe it or not the truck without the StopTeck brakes and a lot of stuff I’ve added actually high books just over $25k w/ KBB private party excellent cond. One reason is because it has only 27k miles on it.

And yeah I was thinking the same, more money for an LS or the 2019 completely new Gen 5 LT with direct injection bone stock the 5.3 is 11:1, oiling & trunnion issues fixed. It’s @ 355hp torque is right @ 400 on reg pump gas to 385hp on E85. Plus I just found a 2020 LT84 with 5 miles w/ the new 10 speed auto and transfer case for $5k. I don’t like GM stuff but their engines have some incredible hp for the size. The LS and the LT ONLY 5 parts are inner changeable. It’s completely updated and they have developed cams for more HP. Install the 6.2L intake and cam it’s over 500hp… In the Reg / single cab it should really move!
I want a Tremec TKO 500. It’s the same as the T56 just in a five speed with a single overdrive. Our R155 or R155F has a 3.95:1 first & 0.81:1 fifth the TKO 500 has a 3.27:1 first & 0.68:1 fifth. Per all the charts I looked up @ 55 mph the RPM would be 1650, at 75 mph the RPM would be 2100 with the TKO 500, tires & 3.73 gear I have. The only real difficult part would be the electrical. One system to run the Taco and another to run the engine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Down-pipe nearly complete. Need to add o2 bungs and finish up welding the outlet v-band.
