I had a bit of squeaking about 5k in. It eventually went away and that are sneaky quiet.

I used a needle tip on a grease gun to get oil between the six rubber bushings and the mounts. I think that helped once it worked it's way in and around?

I didn’t grease in between the leafs. Just the bushings.

Option 3 might come in handy if the leafs ever sag or you add weight to the truck...

You should have had parts bags wrapped around one end of each of the leaf packs. Were they not on either of them?

OK just unwrapped one and yes it is there and I can feel the other one under the wrap on the second leaf.

I had someone tell me a few weeks ago that the icon rxt's somehow are more prone to rusting than an OME leaf pack. True or false? I'd assume their basically the same materials and both are painted....so not sure how one rusts more than the other. Skeptical me says it was to try to sell me some OME packs even though I told them I already have the icons...even after mentioning I'm going to wollwax them they still went with "rust"

RXT Option 2. After 5 months of having the weight of a SnugTop canopy and 200lbs of sandbags I removed the sand today and the leafs didn't appear to settle much. So far i haven't heard any squeaks. I had a very slight shudder at take off... dropped the carrier bearing about a 1/8" and it completely went away.
update: just had the boat hooked up (250lb tongue weight) and the truck didn't move... at all! :woot:

Just cleaned my extra leaves in preparation for option switching. With the weight I have in the back, option 1 packs are nearly flat and there's less than an inch to the bumpstops. If unloaded option 3 is 2.625", and 600lb option 3 is 1.875", I figure 200lbs at option 3 would be a good middle ground to still retain some lift once the pack settles again.

Could I expect the ride to be noticeably harsh at this configuration? I think I'm willing to take a bit of a hit in ride quality (as in don't need it super plush) if it means I don't have to tear these packs apart again.

How about Extended Brake Lines? Are they needed if going to option 3? And any recommendation on brands?
