If any of you guys are in the market for a battery bank type thing, select Costo Warehouses here in UTAH have EcoFlow products on sale. I just picked up an EcoFlow Pro River 600 for $429 (MSRP is $650). They also have a larger size model for $950.

    The model I got is 720Wh, 60aH.

EcoFlow RIVER Pro Portable Power Station – EcoFlow US

Looks like only the Saratoga Springs location has this sale going until 5/22. Then the Sandy location has it sometime next month. Only two stores with this sale in the state.

Box Elder buck deer for us. I think it was our last choice too. It's been at least 20 years since the last time I've done any hunting on that unit. Should be fun if they didn't issue 20k tags there. OnX is showing lots of private property.

Well. It happened. Utah raptor state park near Moab started charging for camping down willow springs and Dalton wells ... Damn.

Hey... I would go down to Capitol Reef the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and the campground was deserted. The campground only half the size it is now, and maybe only half the spaces eventually occupied over the weekend. I remember the first time it was full... and I saw a couple of big a**, expensive motor coaches pull in to find no spaces empty. A guy jumped out of one of them and approached a campsite. Money changed hands and pretty soon the big motorhomes were parked and the former occupants were gone. Now the campground is twice as big and you have to reserve a space a year in advance. Money will eventually define who camps and uses the wilderness.
Of course back then there was only half of the human population there is today...

It sucks to try and find a spot to camp nowadays. I can remember as a teenager, my buddies and I would decide to go Friday after work, no pre planning required. We throw our crap in and go. Never had any trouble finding a spot. Now my wife and I tag team the rec.gov website almost six month ahead of when we plan to go and still only end up getting spots at half the places we wanted to go each year. Last year we snagged three trips. This year, we were only able to get two booked before everything was gone. Don't even get me started on AF canyon or the BS they pulled at Tibble Fork....still pissed me off so bad! :frusty:

    Living here is the bomb.

Buckskin gulch…the whole run is dry…which I haven’t seen since I’ve been here. Parked my truck at wire pass and my buddy parked his truck at Lee’s Ferry and we did the entire slot. 14 miles….

Forgot to post this here yesterday when I put it in my build thread. Thanks to everyone who answered questions about Fixit Pass road conditions and other "Swell" stuff; I'm finally getting the trip report posted up (though, not to Fixit yet)...

    Part 1:

...It'd been a full day - of unexpected terrain, and amazing rock art. Not knowing if our delayed schedule would cause any issues on the rest of the trip, all we could do was to have faith that everything would work out. After all, when everything goes to plan, it's not an adventure!

Holy MAN... That's some fantastic rock art. The shear variety of glyph styles is amazing. All on that one road?

EDIT: I just googled "Fixit Pass" and it says it is on the west side of the Great Salt Lake. So not in the Swell? The pics of rock art are... where?

All on the west edge of the Swell, but not one road. If you read through the trip report, I mention all the sites we visited (on the first day of our trip). By the end, we were in a bit of rock art overload, but it was really amazing.
