i mean really all it is, is 2 wires that match up the right ports. And some plastic so it clips together

...today I learned my Tacoma needs an umbrella.

Any idea what they use? Something commercial-grade or is it just a giant beach umbrella?

Hrm. I assumed tools these days would have some smarts in the battery/tool interface... maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

Weld a sleeve onto the corner of your flatbed for easy setup on windy days.

Most tools due so they run a max power. But not all. Like m18fuel talks to the batteries but normal m18 doesnt.

but you dont need that communication to run it

My makitas do. I think its optional, as the older tools don't support it, but the newer ones will shut down before you overdischarge the battery or not run at all if its already too low.

Absolutely. Definitely left room to play with for welding random shit to it. I think the next project is going to be either re-working the rear kayak/long material rack, or building an adapter for a topper.

    Eventually, anyway.

That and self-monitoring of the tool to prevent one from 'killing itself'.

Reminds me of a photo I saw online somewhere that I wish I had saved.

It was a box truck with a living room's worth of furniture in it backed up to a campsite.

I bought into the DeWalt 20v system some time back so I've stuck with them. One thing I like about Milwaukee is that cordless ratchet. Definitely need to pick one of those up.

Beginning of the year I picked up DeWalt's DCF921 impact and that little stubby takes care of everything I've thrown at it so far. Was going to grab their huge impact that has been around forever but when I saw the atomic, went with that one for size and weight. No dissapointment with that one.

I'm sure the Milwaukee line kicks ass not just in performance but also the bank account.
