Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

Mine are all the same size the benefits of having an old ass 05. Shit part is the Ts I got said metric but are sae .

Well progress is being made. Just letting it gravity bleed forever but getting a pedal finally.

I was wondering why no fluid was coming out when I had taken the hoses loose to swap rears. After finding the MC wasn't working at all I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm working on fixing what was a much larger issues. And going full old school brakes is going to be the start.

I need to figure out what calipers it has so I know what to order for pads when they wear out. The build sheet the shop did was very generic.

 

Me 4! got a semi local guy building me a fully fabbed 9". Wont be going in until this coming winter or if I grenade my factory rear first.

 

I will say my factory diff has taken the abuse like a champ. Can’t be easy when there’s a v8 in front of it…lol

 

Mine has too honestly. But I'd like to think I know how to drive as well. You can keep stuff alive a LOT longer with a little driver mod. Some guys are excessively hard on parts lol.

 

You must be talking about me. 3 blown ring gears and 1 sheared spider gear on my stock elocker rear end. Haven’t broke anything in awhile because I’ve been a little nicer to it but I don’t like having to be cautious. And that’s why I’m patiently waiting for Harry to build my 9 inch floater.

 

Did you already cage your truck? Can’t remember. That’s been my next thought after I do my suspension, “now how’s my stock axle and frame gonna hold up.” Great respect for you guys that push your trucks hard enough to break shit.

These trucks truly are a rabbit hole. I think I’m just gonna stop at leaf under for my use-case. Even then might throw a tundra axle in there for strength, the 8.4 diff is a baby rattle.

 

I will say, I firmly believe the non E-locker rears are considerably stronger.

 

Not caged....yet...but its the next JDfab product i'll buy if and when its released. In case you missed it...Harry teased a weld it yourself cage in the near future

You're way out in the middle of no where? They have disappointed me with building me a rear to the specs I want they only wanted to build what they have in their menu yet say they'll do custom stuff. Also now that I have an F9 there is no need for them other than the front diff.

I don’t think you fify. I think he had it right. Got a neighbor kid that’s been swinging by my house lately asking why he keeps breaking parts. After talking to him, he just abuses it. I’d guess a more experienced driver could take his truck and make the parts last a lot longer

 

Depends on what you're doing and how hard you're pushing it. One person's idea of abuse is anothers sunday drive. It's also your comfort level of possibility of breaking. I can make a lot of shit last a really long time but wheeling the same boring ass non challenging trails gets old. Pushing it into buggy and stickies territory gets interesting and exponentially increases the risk of breaking. Even the best wheelmen competing break stuff and they push the ragged edge. Driver mods only get you so far when you're willing to push the limits of what things can actually handle.

 

I think we’re talking two different sets of people. Myself and I believe @906 were talking you’re average weekend warriors yhag may or may not dd their rig still. Driving some moderate to difficult trails. A good driver may try to finesse their vehicle through and understand the appropriate time and place for more throttle. Lease experienced may bump and skip and hop and wheel spin every obstacle and then complain about always breaking parts. I’m talking about those people
