You'll be tall for sure, especially with TG 5" springs. You'll probably clear 37 without trimming the bed.

You're running Fox Race series 2.5x14 correct? Or is it the Fox Factory series 2.5x14?

That’s actually the plan. Clear 37s with no trimming. I believe that should put me around 27” frame height based off comparable builds.

I’m running the performance series. Next up would be the factory series I believe with the orange sticker lol.

True. I think part of the issue is that, for some reason, people like to tell these fantastics stories about how they did a super low 3-link start/finish over a long weekend and a six pack of beer.

But few people tell the truth as it is. So I appreciate you posting that.

It's still a heck of a lot of work regardless. But yes, a super low 3-link SAS with big tires is even more work for sure.

Im having a little trouble getting a VSS in the tail of transfer case to work.

I tried following a thread from Wyatt posted a while back(link below) and I’m having trouble finding other info on this.

I hooked up the same way as in his post but speedo still won’t work. I tried two different VSS’s with same results.:annoyed:

Measuring at the VSS plug/wires that were installed.

    Key off, red-12v, white 0v, black continuity…

    Key on, red-12v, white 10v, black continuity…

any help would be greatly appreciated so I can have a working speedo and get rid of the P0500. I also have a code for P2610 if anyone has any suggestions. :fingerscrossed:

truck is a 14’ sport, auto trans.

Look forward to your completed build!

I had all costs and details of my build in an excel sheet. But it was too painful to look at it LOL. And mine was a very conservative 3-link. Really did a barebones build.

idk what I could consider my build. Unique maybe . Not the most expensive but certainly not the cheapest way to go. I was kinda looking for a middle of the road build knowing it’s not being built for rocks etc.

Nice, I'll have to check it out if I get over that way. I'm looking forward to seeing your build.

I just finished my 4runner build with 4WU and dual transfer case. I stopped keeping track of how much I spent once I hit $25k just in parts.

It’s def best to not even add it up or tell family members even half of the costs. Lol

You have the opportunity to make it your. No need to copy any trends, though I would say you made the right choice in going with the link suspension

That 4runner looks great! Very nice build. And yea...it's good for the brain to stop keeping track of costs LOL

Maybe y'all can help before I load up the parts cannon and replace ball joints, inner/outer TREs on my SuperDuty. I get death wobble if I hit a road joint or pothole with the wheel centered or turned left. If the wheel is turned right it feels solid when hitting those things.

I've shaken the front end down multiple times. By turning the wheels on dry pavement or by applying the large pry bar and replaced all items that had wear or fatigue.

Bilstein Shocks, Bilstein steering stabilizer, track bar bushing and ball joint, and tires. Also replaced brakes because a sticking caliper and warped rotor could kick off the death wobble. Added SPC 2 degree castor shims. I've also had the truck at 3 separate shop locations to shake it down and nobody has been able to identify issues with the components listed above.

    What am I missing?

New problem or always had it?

Can anyone tell me if this are acceptable values? And if this chart is even setup properly. Some of it I don’t understand completely. My top bellhousing bolt is at 41”.

It surfaced about 15k mi ago

At its worst truck was completely undrivable, even hitting a pothole at 35 would kick it off. At this point it's a :notsure: random event now. shops and I don't find play in front end components and they comment it drives nice lol

Hitting the death wobble on i70 or i25 sure changes perspective on "driving nice" tho lol

Have you put an angle finder on both your axle C’s by any chance to see if they are the same? I know that sounds stupid but mine are 2 degrees off from each other castor wise and the truck my axle came off had major death wobble and got scrapped because of it I think. It had no damage. Hoping that is not why. Lol

It's another thing to check! Built Ford Tough :bananadance:

God, honestly I'm suspicious now, 2 different alignment shops were not able to get numbers in spec on both sides at the same time IIRC
